July 2014 Wantable Makeup

Well I was expecting it to be pretty dull subscription box wise around here today, but it turned out to be quite a nice day. My July Wantable (who kindly sends me these boxes to reviews) boxes arrived today along with one other box. Not a bad day after all!

In case you aren’t familiar, Wantable offers 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates and jewelry boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. You just go into your account, go to your order history and click “Return Items” and you’ll get a prepaid label and a full refund.

The Box

Wantable now ships via DHL Global Mail and took 4 days to arrive.  I used to sometimes get my Wantable boxes in a day when they shipped via USPS, however, that’s not happening anymore. But I didn’t think 4 days was too bad either. Last month it was about a week.

First Look

I thought this month’s first look was great!  I was excited about every single thing I saw in there.

Preferences

Like I mentioned before, you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you love and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing. I keep forgetting to change mine up, but I do want to switch a few things around.

The Information Card

The July 2014 Wantable Makeup box included the following items to help streamline and simply your morning beauty routine:

~Tarina Tarantino Black Fleur De Lash Mascara ($19): I had never heard of this brand until last week and now I have my third product from them!  I can tell you one thing, this packaging is gorgeous.  Seriously just look at it.  I couldn’t wait to test it and I thought that the mascara worked to lengthen, but I am not sure how long lasting it is because I took it off shortly after.

~Three Custom Color AfterGlow Shimmer Creme ($22.50):  Another love.  This highlighter gives just the right amount of shimmer and is easy to apply as well.  I wouldn’t be sad to try the Bronze shimmer creme from this brand down the road!

~Vincent Longo #37 Foundation Brush ($30): I don’t know that I have ever tried to apply liquid foundation with a brush, but that is what this one is for.  I’ll for sure give it a try though.

~Mirabella LipColor (Nude) ($22): Totally a sister-in-law item and that is totally fine with me.  I selected lips knowing that I’d get some glosses and some lipsticks and I love being able to pass on the lipsticks to her.  She loves them.  And this is a great nude color which she doesn’t get a ton of from me.  I always seem to have deep colors and reds for her.

All totaled I came up with a value of $93.50 for my July 2014 Wantable Makeup Box.  And I can easily say that I loved this box and that it was beyond worth the $36 cost.  Just the shimmer creme and mascara were worth it to me because I probably wold have bought varieties of those on my own anyway!
