I got “a few” (okay like a dozen) subscription boxes today and one of the first ones I opened was Baxter and Buddy’s June 2014 Barkbox!
If you aren’t familiar, BarkBox is a monthly subscription box for dogs! Each monthly box contains a combination of 4-6 treats, toys, and hygiene products that have been hand selected and approved by Scout, head product tester for BarkBox. We’ve been getting for nearly two years and are always quite happy with it.
Barkbox ships via DHL Global Mail and took maybe three days to arrive this month? It was very quick and I was actually surprised to see it today.
I guessed the theme on this one right away and was very excited about it. Doesn’t everything look cute?
The June 2014 Barkbox was “Bone Jour” and centered on giving your pup the trip of a lifetime with no planes, passports or jet lag required. Here is what was inside:
~Harry Barker Eiffel Tower ($10): OMG how fancy and cute is this? It’s made out of a sturdy canvas which is good because that means it will last the furries forever. They will never get to go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower, but this is clearly the next best thing.
~Harry Barker Toile Bone ($10): I am cracking up because it took me a few minutes to realize that the heads of these things on here were dogs and not people. LOL. I love it. This is made with the same heavy canvas as the Eiffel Tower so it too will last forever.
~Bocce’s Bakery Chicken Cordon Bleu ($6): My dogs don’t usually love bones, but I handed them these when the box arrived and surprisingly they gobbled them right up. They must have realized they were fancy “french” like bones ;).
~FeelGood Treat Co. Parisian Heart Biscuits ($6): I can’t find these online, so I just used the price on the card. I have to tell you, if I would have come across this package at a makeup counter, I would have bought it. It seems like it could house a fancy palette or something like that. But really it holds three giant heart shapes dog cookies! I broke one up and gave it to Baxter and Buddy, but I can’t tell if they ate or just hid it around the house somewhere (they like to do that).
All totaled I came up with a value of $32 for the June 2014 Barkbox. I totally loved this box and I thought the theme was very well done! This box ranks right up there with the “Breakfast” themed box they did a while back that was awesome too. According to the information card, you can now also text Barkbox with the item code (they are listed on the information card) if you want to reorder anything from the box. I haven’t done it yet, but it sounds super easy and convenient.
Do you subscribe to BarkBox? What’d you think of this month’s box? If you want to subscribe or learn more, click here. A monthly subscription is $29/month, but if you opt for a longer subscription, the price drops as low as $18/month (that’s what I get)! And you can use the code “RAMBLING” save 15% off ANY subscription plan which would make it an even better deal!
