I got just a few subscription boxes today, but one of the boxes that did appear was my June 2014 bluum box!
If you aren’t familiar, bluum (who recently acquired Stork Stack), is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies. Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.
bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and took the standard Smart Post week to arrive to me. bluum sent out an e-mail saying some boxes shipped late this month and I am not totally sure if mine was considered late or not?
bluum is one of the boxes I look most forward to opening, because I just never know what to expect.
bluum sends out boxes which include products are based on your child’s age, gender and developmental stage and don’t do a themed box. Products in the monthly boxes still change from month to month, so if you are expecting a 30 Month-Old (we have WB aged up) box next month it will likely be different. Heck, it might even be different if you received a 30-month old box this month. You never know what you are going to get with bluum and it keeps me intrigued! Here is what our June 2014 bluum box included:
~Priddy Books – Puzzle Town in the City ($11.95): Cute book. It’s got puzzle pieces that fit into pages so as you go along and read which is different. It’s also got cars and trucks which is all WB is into these days. Well, those and trains.
~Melissa & Doug Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle ($7.99): This is a little old for WB, but we can help him with it for now and he will be able to do it on his own in no time I am sure.
~Melissa & Doug Cinco Starfish Scoop ($5.53): It was raining out today (ALL DAY) so we couldn’t play with this in the sandbox, so WB decided to take it in the bathtub. It scoops water quite nicely and WB was quite pleased with it.
~Zoe B Organics Plate ($4.50): I thought this was a frisbee at first (It didn’t even occur to me that it would be weird to send a two year-old a frisbee), but then I saw that it was a plate. For whatever reason WB took this in the bathtub too. I just go with it.
~KeriCure Keychain Skin Protectant ($9.99): You keep this on your keychain and so you will always have it handy when a cut or a scrape or blister happens. We so could have used this last week when L had a few blisters on his hand from the monkey bars that he was freaking out about. We will be ready next time!
All totaled I came up with a value of $39.96 for the June 2014 bluum box! I think this was one of my favorite recent boxes from them and really enjoyed it.

My son got the 20 month box, and it arrived yesterday.
Our box included:
A fresh baby plate (its divided in 4 parts) I love this.
Kandoo Flushable Toilet Wipes
Brinware Silicone Placemat (My son loved this, and so did I)
I Play Disposable Compressed Wipes
Booginhead Sippigrips (I’m very excited about this)
Apple Park Finger Puppet- Bunny (my son loved this.
Our box total value was $44. This has to be one of my favorite boxes so far.
That’s a great one!
My box this month had a value of $19! Man I wish they would do better for me I love getting my little boxes.
Ugh. That is no good at all.
Hi there! I just found your site because I am looking into the monthly subscription boxes for my son and I LOVE it! I have a question, though. Why do you age up your little one? I’ve seen some others do this too, but was just wondering what the thinking is behind this decision. Thanks for all the awesome info!
I don’t really do it on purpose. A long time ago bluum only did boxes for babies 0-12 months. They were small and were like $15/month (something like that). Around when my little one was 9 months, they launched a new box (like what you see here) for ages 1+. Eventually they switched the 0-12 month boxes to the big boxes too, but not right away. Anyways, I wanted to try the new box with full sized stuff instead of of the other one which had sample sizes so I aged my little one up so I would get the bigger box. And now that he’s aged up I can’t really “age him back” because I don’t want to get any duplicates. So long story short, I age him up, but really for no reason anymore.
