I was quite surprised to see a GLOSSYBOX on my porch today, but my June 2014 box was indeed sitting there along with a pile of other boxes. I am not sure if this is a review box or my box (I subscribe too), but I am just going to be safe and call it a box I was sent to review.
If you aren’t familiar with GLOSSYBOX, they are $21/month and send you five (or in this month’s case, six) luxury surprise beauty items to your door every month. I LOVE GLOSSYBOX and am constantly impressed at the value they pack into the boxes. They also do the best collaborations. They did a collaboration with Bergdorf Goodman last month and they have also done collaborations with Dallas Shaw, The Man Repeller and Bydrie to name a few!
GLOSSYBOX ships via Newgistics and took three days to arrive. That’s pretty good for GLOSSYBOX and I was quite impressed!
When GLOSSYBOX released the theme of the June box they also released an image of the actual box. It was love at first site. I will be hoarding saving this one along with my Best of Britain and a few of the other collaboration boxes. I have this secret dream that GLOSSYBOX will do limited edition boxes featuring beauty products from individual countries. Like a “Best of Japan”, “Best of France”, etc. series. This will probably never happen, but a girl can dream.
Since this box came so early and it was so unexpected, I had no idea what would be inside. Well, I knew two of the spoilers, but the rest was a complete mystery!
If you hadn’t guessed by the outside of the box, the June 2014 GLOSSYBOX was the “Stars & Stripes Edition” and featured the following products:
~Strangebeautiful Colorbloc Polish ($18): I am not totally clear if this is a full size or not, but I think it is. I happen to have some white polish as well and some design tools from Julep, so I think when I get a bit of free time I am going to try my hand at some sort of patriotic mani. Depending on when I do it I’ll call it my Go USA World Cup mani or my 4th of July Mani.
~Rusk Texture Dry Finishing Spray ($3.37): I am not a huge fan of the smell of this (it’s not awful, but it reminds me of a greenhouse), but I am a huge fan of textured hair. I was actually really surprised at how much of a boost this gave my just washed hair. Very nice.
~Ayres Body Butter (Patagonia) ($4.15): This is for the any dry patches of skin you may have. I tested it on my hand and I was super impressed at how soft it was. A little bit went a long way. This is something I may need to get a full size of!
~Camille Beckman Platinume Gold Imperial Repair Hand Therapy ($10): I wish I could figure out what this reminds me of, but I can’t place it! I smell citrus for sure though. This hand cream took a bit longer to rub in than the Ayres, but it also left my hand (the other one) feeling nice and soft.
~Sumita Beauty Champagne Eye Shadow Pencil ($18): I thought this was an eyeliner, but it’s better. It’s a shadow pencil! The color is gorgeous and I love that this is a brand new to me brand!
All totaled I came up with a value of $53.52 for the June 2014 Stars & Stripes GLOSSYBOX! This box didn’t have the incredible value that last month’s box had, but I am still very happy with it. It included 5 products I have never tried before and I hadn’t even heard of 4 of the 5 brands before this box which is even better!

ETA: I have heard that June boxes will also feature a Bonus C. Wonder gift card for anywhere between $5 and $500, but mine seems to have been missing from the box. Hopefully as more people start getting their boxes this will be confirmed that it’s in all the boxes this month!
