Lip Monthly, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a new subscription box which offers a curated box of lip products shipped directly to your door every month.
Lip Monthly ships via USPS First Class Mail and takes just a few days to arrive.
I am kind of under the impression that the smaller Lip Monthly box was designed to hold all of the products, but it never quite seems to work that way!
The June 2014 Lip Monthly box includes the following items which have a “great summer vibe”:
~Essie Naturally Clean Purifying Hand Treatment: This is pretty much acts as an antibacterial hand sanitizer, but it moistures at the same time. I liked that it wasn’t drying and didn’t make my hands feel all weird like antibacterial stuff does.
~Purple Labs Huge Lips Skinny Hips Lip Plumper: I have never heard of this brand and I would say that the plumper worked “ok”. I always expect some huge change from lip plumpers, but it’s usually much more subtle. Or it makes my lips feel so weird that I have to wipe it off right away.
~Lipology Anti-Feathering Stick: I had to google what an anti-feathering stick does, but it appears it’s used to help prevent lip color from sneaking outside of your lips. I am going to pass this along to my SIL who is a big lipstick lover.
~lol – Lots of Love LipStick: Another sister-in-law item. I really need to get her to take a picture of all of her lipsticks. I bet her collection could rival my nail polish collection. Seriously.
~Mary Kate and Ashley Lip Foils: It’s hard for me to say anything bad about a lipgloss, so yes, I like these. The colors are fun and I like that they are tiny so you could easily throw them in a pocket.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box mainly because most (all?) of the products are discontinued. I don’t mind getting discontinued items (except of course if I fall in love with something because then it’s hard to replace), but I wish they would put a note about it on their site. Although I suppose it’s possible that they will be including some current products down the road. Still for $10/box it’s not a bad deal at all!
