Luxe Lacquers, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a brand new nail polish subscription service. For $29.99/month you will receive four full-sized premium lacquers delivered right to your door. Luxe Lacquer polishes are 5-free and a portion of your subscription proceeds are donated to Malala fund- an organization dedicated to educating and empowering adolescent girls in developing countries around the world.
Luxe Lacquers ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.
Everything was packaged very neatly and very securely. I appreciated that all of the polishes were bagged individually because if one happened to leak (which mine didn’t), you wouldn’t have a complete mess on your hands.
The information card is a general card about the Luxe Lacquer subscription and doesn’t include any information specific to this month’s box. I am not the best at describing colors, but I will do my best to tell you about what was included in the June 2014 Luxe Lacquers box:
~Bonnie: I would describe Bonnie as a blue with grey undertones. It’s quite pretty and I was very impressed by the size of the polishes. Luxe Lacquer polishes are .57oz, while Essie and OPI polishes are .50oz.
~Celeste: Celeste is a gorgeous pale pink / cream color. I never liked such pale color polishes until I got a matte base coat that makes them go on much better.
~Kate: Katie is a pale grey color. It almost reminds me of poured concrete. This is more of a winter color for me, but it’s going to look gorgeous with a glitter topcoat!
~Millie: Millie is a glittery coral and is easily my favorite of the bunch. It went on smooth and I probably could get away with just one coat of this.
A monthly subscription to Luxe Lacquers breaks down to $7.50 per polish. That is very much in line (if not better) than comparable polish brands. I believe everyone got the same polish colors in June and July will bring an entirely different set of four polishes!
