June 2014 Orange Glad Box

The Sweet Box by Orange Glad, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a carefully curated box of sweet snacks which is delivered to your door every month. It includes 5 deluxe gourmet desserts and the Orange Glad Marketplace allows you to place orders for more of the goodies you love!

The Box

Orange Glad ships via USPS Priority Mail.  My box was a bit delayed last month (it didn’t move for about a week after I got the tracking e-mail), but this month it arrived in just a few days which is normal for them.

The Box in the Box

Inside this month’s Orange Glad box was another box which had the actual goodies in it.  Nothing in this month’s box could melt so there were no cold packs in it.

First Look

So far things were looking good!  I was hungry when I opened this box so I couldn’t get to it fast enough!

The Information Card

Orange Glad boxes do not have a theme, however, they do have an information card which includes details on the snacks, ingredients and information on when these snacks need to be enjoyed by.  Here is what we received in the June 2014 Orange Glad Box:

~The Cravory Salted Caramel Cream Cookie: Oh man, this cookie is incredible.  Seriously.  I don’t even know what else I can tell you other than that there is nothing left but crumbs and I loved every last bit of it.  I wasn’t aware of this, but The Cravory offers a monthly cookie subscription which I will be adding to my list and probably subscribing to shortly!

~Rip Van Wafels Traditional Amsterdam Wafel: I have posted about my love for these many times and nothing has changed there.  If you haven’t tried these with a cup of coffee, you should.

~Fine Sconehenge Baking Co. Luscious Lemon Bar: I always say I am going to make stuff like this, but it never happens.  I would never be able to replicate this (or even come close) though so I probably shouldn’t even try.  This was very tasty and I would love to some of their cake squares next.

~Lily’s Bakery Shop Hamantashen: I am not a huge fan of jelly filled desserts (I don’t even like jelly donuts), but the pastry part of this was delicious.  Fill it with a chocolate filling instead of fruit and we’d be on to something!

~Cheryl’s Buttercream Summer Cookie:  Mmm, yummy! I have tried a few different cookies Cheryl’s offers and have always enjoyed them.  This one was also amazing and WB liked it as well.

As usual, I didn’t do a price breakdown on Orange Glad.  You can’t buy single items of many of these anywhere but in-store and you’d have to pay shipping for a big batch if you ordered them online.  This is a great way to sample a bunch of different things to decide which you want more of!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was sent for review purposes. As always, all opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
