June Tyler Florence Fancy Box

When I was trying to remember what subscription boxes were still coming this month I totally forgot about the June 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box! It was a nice surprise when it appeared today.

Just in case you aren’t familiar, Fancy, which is $39/month plus shipping, has a “regular” Fancy Box full of cool goodies and celebrity curated boxes which include a collection of the coolest products hand-picked by Jennifer Love Hewitt, Verbal, Kelly Rowland, Coco Rocha, Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Nicky Hilton and / or Tyler Florence. They also offer a Fancy Food Box (which is one of my favorites), as well as, Fancy Mystery Boxes.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and always takes two days to arrive to me. This was the first time I have received a Fancy Box which didn’t come in one of their actual Fancy Boxes. I know it sometimes happens, but I have always gotten the signature Tyler Florence Fancy Box for his boxes and the brightly colored Fancy boxes for my other ones.

First Look

I could tell from the first look that this month’s box was jam packed with stuff!

The Information Card

There was no stated theme to the June 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box, but I thought it felt very grill / barbecue themed to me.  Here is what was included:

~Corn Holders ($6.22): I wish they would have picked a more unique set, but we can always use corn holders so they will do.

Corn Holders

~Condiment Squeeze Bottle (~$5): Tyler Florence suggests using these for your “homemade sauces”, but umm, we don’t make any homemade sauces.  What I really use these bottles for is for making sidewalk paint for the boys to play with.  It’s cornstarch, water and food coloring and I just let them squeeze it out of the bottles onto the sidewalk.

Condiment Squeeze Bottle

~Stainless Steel Scraper and Chopper ($7.31): I have always wanted one of these.  Not so much to use to chop veggies and stuff, but I was thinking more to cut brownies and also to scrape things off the counter.  I always love when they do that on those cooking shows!

Stainless Steel Scraper and Chopper

~Grill Brush & Scraper ($9.42): Totally a B item.  I don’t do any of the grilling (I can’t even turn it on), but I do know that it needs to be cleaned after you cook.

Grill Brush & Scraper

~Basting Cup & Brush ($15.98): Very smart!  Even if you don’t make your own marinades, you do often need to brush them on and this built in holder is genius.

Basting Cup & Brush

~Outset Digital InstantReed Thermometer ($11.50): I feel like we already have one of these, but I am not totally sure about that?  Maybe this could be our outside one.  Or we’ll take it up-north.

Outset Digital InstantReed Thermometer

~Stainless Steel Skewers ($10.72): This totally reminds me that we haven’t had kabobs in forever!  Hopefully when B gets home we will be able to fix that and use these at the same time.

Stainless Steel Skewers

All totaled I came up with a value of $66.15 for the June 2014 Tyler Florence Fancy Box.  I used current Amazon prices for the items and they use retail prices, so I’m sure that’s how they come with their $80+ value. I thought this box was nice, but nothing jumped out and wow’ed me.  Everything is useful, but not anything overly “Fancy”.

Did you get the June Tyler Florence Fancy Box?  What’d you think? If you are thinking of ordering this or ANY of the Fancy Boxes, click here and get on it! You can always use the coupon code “FOLLOWUP10″ (sometimes this seems to work and sometimes not) to save 10% on any Fancy.com, order, including subscription boxes. If you can’t find the Fancy Box you are looking for, I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site.
