I love Birchbox Limited Edition boxes and this latest one, The Birchbox Man + Cool Hunting Limited Edition Summer Box was no exception. The box was curated by the tastemakers at Cool Hunting to celebrate the season and is packed with cult finds and offbeat upgrades befitting a modern pathfinder.

I was so excited about this box that I upgraded my shipping to UPS Second Day.  However, I forgot about the holiday being in there and then the weekend, so my box actually ended up taking about five days to arrive.  Lesson learned on that one!

As with all Birchbox Limited Edition boxes, I knew what to expect from this, but I was still very excited for it. It’s always more fun to see the items in person and check them out for yourself.

The Birchbox Man + Cool Hunting Limited Edition Box included the following essentials to help you keep your cool this month:

~Artisan Project | Beach Blanket ($48): This is the number one reason I am in love with this box.  I have an insane addition to these striped blankets and towels.  This blanket was handwoven by Moroccan artisans and is perfect to throw in your bag for a picnic or take to the beach.  These are all so fabulous that they make me want to book a fancy vacation just so that I can properly use them.

~Quest & Quality | Solar Watch ($40): A little bright, but I think it will work nicely for B for “play time”.  Plus it’s waterproof.  The best part though is that the solar powered battery will last for 3.5 months when charged.  And then if you just go outside every once in a while you will easily charge it again.

~Herschel Supply Co. | Packable Duffle Bag ($29.99): This seems a bit more me than B, which will work out just fine.  I can’t see him carrying this, but I can so see me using it!  It’s much sturdier than it looks and it folds up into a portable little pouch so you can carry it in your luggage and you’ll have it if you need to carry more things home than you have room for in your other bags (this happens to be often).

~Grady’s Cold Brew | Bean Bags ($12): I have never tried this before, but I am so excited about it.  You can throw one of these bean bags in anything (a bowl, a can, whatever), add water and soak overnight.  And boom, you’ve got coffee!

~Ursa Major | Face Wipes ($2.40): You know, I don’t know why their aren’t more facial wipes for men like this.  Women have tons of options, but I think these are the only men’s face wipes I have ever seen?  I think these are awesome for travel, to take to the gym or

~Ursa Major | Face Balm ($7.20): This is a combination daily moisturizer and postshave treatment.  It’s totally perfect for your carry on bag (B avoids checking luggage when he travels for work if he can) and I like the smell of it!

~Juniper Ridge | Crew Trail Soap (~$5): Not sure if the label was suppose to be like this, but it for sure makes it more interesting.  This is a “multipurpose soap”, but I am guessing that B will use it mainly as a shower gel.  The smell is woodsy and is described as being inspired by “the Oregon backcountry”.

The Birchbox Man + Cool Hunting Summer Collection is $88 and has a value of approximately $145!  I am totally happy with this box and B was as well.  He dug through it all, smelled everything, unfolded the blanket (and wore it as a scarf for a bit to be funny), played with the watch and gave it the B seal of approval!
