Haute Look / Nordstrom Beauty Bag

Eeek! Look what’s here! My HauteLook / Nordstrom Beauty Bag! I wasn’t expecting it until the first week in August (because that is what it said when I ordered it), but here it is! Woot Woot!

HauteLook does beauty bags every once in a while and is for sure not a monthly subscription, however, they are fabulous bags of goodies so I always do a review on them. This particular bag was the Nordstrom Beauty Bag and sold on HauteLook for $25 (plus $5.95 shipping). It promised a value of over $160 and was stocked with 16 products. And I wasn’t expecting it to go this fast, but it sold out in like 20 minutes. Which is pretty crazy for HauteLook bags. I guess we are going to need to set alarms for these just like we do with the Allure ones!

The Box

The Nordstrom Beauty Bag ships via UPS and took one a day to arrive to me. It went on sale last Friday, shipped on Wednesday and was delivered on Thursday! Now, if you haven’t gotten a shipping notification for this one, don’t worry – I didn’t either. I saw it in my UPS Notifications and *thought* it was Haute Look, but it labeled as being from Axiz Group, so you just never know for sure.

First Look
Second First Look

The first look?  I loved it!  I think I had kind of forgotten how many products were all coming in this bag, so when I opened it I was very surprised it was SO full.  I was sick on Friday when I ordered it and everything happened so fast with it selling out, so I didn’t have too much of a chance to review it on the site and poof, it was gone.  The site did, however, list all of the contents of the bag so there was no need for an information card.  Here is what the Summer 2014 HauteLook / Nordstrom Beauty Bag contained:

~The Bag: I love yellow and grey together and this bag is nice and roomy!  Be careful though because when I opened my box with a knife, I totally made a mark / small cut on the bag.  Oops!

The Bag

~Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief ($5.60): I used to use (and love) Clinique stuff all through high school and college.  I wonder why I don’t anymore?  Anyway, this is a totally new product to me and will be a great one to test and see what Clinique is what to these days!

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief

~Fresh Rose Face Mask ($11.60): I am not a fan of the smell or texture (it’s like a cross between honey and slime) of this mask, but I gave a brief test and liked what I saw.  I love the entire fresh line so I think that is to be expected.

Fresh Rose Face Mask

~Lancôme Régenerie Lift Multi-Action Cream ($27.94): This is a lifting and firming cream with built in SPF!  It does make your skin feel a little different than normal, which I am guessing is because it tightens it?  I couldn’t see a big different when I applied it, but then again I only tried it on briefly.

Lancôme Régenerie Lift Multi-Action Cream

~Estée Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length & Volume Mascara (~$13): This looked like it was about 1/2 of a full size so I valued it at half that price.  I have a friend who really really likes this stuff, so I will be passing it along!

Estée Lauder Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length & Volume Mascara

~Balenciaga Paris Rosabotanica Eau de Parfum ($17.50): I was expecting this to be a spray and umm, yeah, it’s not.  Let’s just say my laptop smells like perfume.  Luckily it smells quite good!  I don’t know if I would ever buy a full bottle because it’s so expensive, but I will happily use this.

Balenciaga Paris Rosabotanica Eau de Parfum

~Ciaté Mini Nail Color (Members Only) ($15): Not my favorite color of theirs, but I probably have every color they have made, so it’s okay! I will trade it or gift it to someone who’ll love it.

Ciaté Nail Color

~Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment ($6.50): This really did smooth my hair and make it look better right away.  I am now really intrigued by the rest of their line including the shampoo and conditioner.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day 5-in-1 Styling Treatment

~Stila Lip Glaze (Mango Berry) ($22): I love Stila’s Lip Glaze. I have it in so many colors and love them all.  It leaves your lips so shiny and it’s fun to use the pen / brush applicator.

Stila Lip Glaze

~Lorac Lip Lustre Gloss (Peach Lustre) ($9.54): This seems really expensive for such a small lip gloss, but perhaps it’s just expensive.  I love the color, formula, etc., and of course the little container.

Lorac Lip Lustre Gloss

~Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($9): I have been informed that “not to prime is a crime”, so I will be taking note of that going forward!

Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer

~Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss (Peony) (~$5?): This is so not as bright of a pink as my picture shows.  Not even close.  It’s a great little size and would be perfect in a small bag for nights out.

Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss

~Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Body Wash ($3): This smells fabulous.  So fabulous. I wouldn’t spend $30 on a shower gel, but if I were to I would buy this one because I really like it!

Molton Brown Pink Pepperpod Body Wash

~Philosphy Purity One Step Facial Cleanser ($3.33): Where do all my cleansers go anyway?  Not in my bathroom drawers that’s for sure.  I’m constantly looking for one.  It makes no sense because I know I have a ton, but it happens!

Philosphy Purity One Step Facial Cleanser

~Whish Three Wishes Body Butter (Pomegranate) ($3.60): I have tried this a few times in the past and have always loved it.  The Pomegranate is a great scent and I can’t stop smelling my hands when I have this on.

Whish Three Wishes Body Butter

~Mario Badescu Kiwi Face Scrub ($1.88): This is another great product.  I think I actually bought one once?  I’ll be leaving this one in the shower so I remember to use it.

Mario Badescu Kiwi Face Scrub

~Bottega Venetta Eau de Parfum ($16.18): This scent is also amazing (and also one I will probably never buy because it’s so expensive) and I just love it.  Oddly, this doesn’t have a sprayer either.  Do people like that?  I like when they have sprayers!  So much easier for clumsy people.

Bottega Venetta Eau de Parfum

All totaled I came up with a value of $170.67 and I am beyond thrilled with this bag!  For $25 (plus shipping) I feel like I got quite a steal on the Nordstrom Beauty Bag!

This bag is long sold out at HauteLook (I will keep you posted if I hear it’s back in stock ever), but don’t worry because I bought an extra one to giveaway!  As usual, just enter in the Rafflecopter widget below and you will be set!
