My bluum box arrived today and WB and I were excited to dig right into it! I feel like no matter how many spoilers I see for bluum, I just never know what I will receive and I love that excitement!
If you aren’t familiar, bluum (who acquired Stork Stack a few months back), is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies. Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.
bluum box ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about 4 days to arrive. Not too bad at all.
I wasn’t overly impressed by the first look, but I also wasn’t sure what everything was either.
bluum sends out boxes which include products are based on your child’s age, gender and developmental stage and don’t do a themed box. Products in the monthly boxes still change from month to month, so if you are expecting a 31 Month-Old (we have WB aged up (*)) box next month it will likely be different. Heck, it might even be different if you received a 31-month old box this month. Here is what our July 2014 bluum box included:
~Melissa & Doug – See Inside Peg Puzzle – Numbers ($7.99): We actually have this exact puzzle (we got it when L was a younger) and it’s great. Both kids have played with it and it still looks brand new! This will either end up as a garage sale item (we don’t need two) or I’ll gift it to a friend. But Melissa & Doug puzzles are great!
~Bitsy’s Brainfood Alphabet Smartsnacks Sweet Potato Oatmeal Raisin Cookies ($2): WB claimed these right away. He was happy as a clam to play in the train / lego room and snack on these guys this afternoon! If he lost track of where he put them, he’d get a little frantic looking for them. It’s fair to say he enjoyed them.
~Itzy Ritzy Sight Word Soup Snack Bag ($9.99): Love these snack bags! I only have the little ones, so getting a larger one from them is awesome.
~Blum Naturals Daily Combination / Oily Towelettes ($3.49): Ohh, these are so handy. I love that they are individually wrapped because you can store them in your bag this way.
~Dapple Samples: I have a few of these and I am going to take everyone’s advice and transfer them into small travel sized containers to use.
~Bonus Item: Bumkins Large Snack Bag ($4.95): I am calling this one a bonus item because the information card had it labeled that Bumkins wanted feedback on it. Anyway, I love it, think the print is awesome and we use these all the time!
All totaled I came up with a value of $28.42 for the July 2014 bluum box. Not a “valuable” box by any means, but I did think everything in it was cute. I do always like to see boxes “cover” their cost so I am a little disappointed that it didn’t. But some boxes have a value of $40-$50 so I suppose it all evens out in the end (if you subscribe long-term like I do).

We got ours for a 39-month-old girl yesterday (our first Bluum box). I got a good deal on it, so I wasn’t too concerned about the value. We got:
Melissa and Doug Picture Bingo Game (never seen this before)–value $5.99
Trostistar Cuddly Bandages (not familiar with them): $4.95
M&D 3-in-one bubble wand–Molly: $6.99
Pumpkinheads Book: Carmin Cares (never heard of it): $5.99
Crocodile Creek Tye-Dye drinking bottle: $11.99
Debating whether to continue with the subscription next month at full price. Mainly because I already have a 6-month Citrus Lane sub (good deal on that), and they both do lots of M&D, so a little concerned about duplicates. Plus we’re getting Googaro next month (I thought we’d be getting it this month since I signed up July 1, but looking at their page, you have to sign up by the 26th of the previous month).
Hmm…
Not a crazy value, but a solid box I think!
We are also waiting on our Bluum box, and have been looking high and low for spoilers, but you are right, each box is so different! I saw a spoiler for a 22 months old box, and it contained some items that we got in last months box (20 months). So I am really excited and hope that we at least get a Melissa and Doug puzzle.
By the way, do they ever have Bluum on Gilt City or Groupon? I don’t think I have ever seen it, only Citrus Lane.
I have seen them on Plum District a few times!

Hi Ladies,
We just cancelled our Bluum after 6 months of “okay” items. We kept getting pacifier trinkets and my baby does not use a paci. I emailed them and they did not respond. I also found the pricing was marked higher than I would see it for in the store. The pictures you post have much better items than we ever got. I’m sad it didn’t work out, I was excited about it when I signed up.
