July 2014 Googaro

Googaro, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box for babies 0-3 years of age.  Each month Googaro sends selects mom-approved items for you and your baby straight to your door. You’ll receive some of their favorite finds including toys, books, snacks, and household products.

The Box

Googaro ships via DHL Global Mail and took five days to arrive.  That seems to be about normal for my Googaro boxes, but you never know with DHL!

First Look

I was totally spoiler free for this box and as soon as I opened I was pleased with what I saw.

The Information Card

Googaro doesn’t have a monthly theme, but they have super cute information cards and their mascot is a cute little elephant.  The information card has pictures and prices and lets you know the age group of the box you received (it’s on the side of the card) which is nice.  I know sometimes there is confusion with some of the other subscription boxes where people wonder if they got the right box or not, but that doesn’t happen here. This box is for 2-3 year olds (boxes are grouped by 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 1-2 years and 2-3 years) and included the following:

~Dr. Seuss Bowl ($4.95): I know I have seen this bowl before but I can’t recall where.  I swear I have one, but I don’t know where it’s hiding if I do have it.  Regardless I love it and I know it will be the kids first pick to put their snacks in.

~Hape Animals Memory Game ($14.99): I think this is a little old for WB right now, but only because it’s actual pieces and we’ll have to keep stopping him from flipping them all at once.  He plays matching games on his iPad, but I think it’s easier on there because it only lets him pick two pieces to flip at a time.  Hopefully this helps teach him though because I love it and I want to play!

~Melissa & Doug Colorblask Artwork ($4.99): These are genius.  L loves them, WB loves them and B and I think they are cool too. You can’t make a mess with these, so they are awesome for the car or airplane.  And the kids (at least mine) are always shocked at how it works.

~Bumkins Snack Bags ($6.95): I have a lot of snack bags, so I may end up using this to hold crayons or pens and pencils to keep them better organized.  I like that these snack bags can be thrown in the washing machine or dishwasher too.

Bumkins Snack Bags

~Kiss My Face Lip Balm ($3.49): Lip balms, SPF ones especially are always a great item to have in the summer.  Both kids are always using my lip balms and WB puts on a very thick layer when he uses it, so we are always in need.

All totaled I came up with a value of $35.27 for the July 2014 Googaro 2-3 Year-Old Box. I actually thought that the value was going to be higher because I was so impressed with this one.  I loved the picks and they will seriously work for both WB and L which is awesome.
