Petit Vour, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box of cruelty-free beauty products, hand-picked from businesses that align quality with progressive standards. Boxes are $15/month and the value of the contents always exceeds the cost.
Petit Vour ships via USPS First Class Mail and generally takes just a few days to arrive. They always ship timely and while I can’t speak to their customer service it’s probably a good thing because it means that I’ve never received anything damaged, nothing has been missing, etc.
I only recognized one item in the first look, but I liked what I saw!
The July 2014 Petit Vour theme was “Summer Loves”. The box was selected with the assistance of Logical Harmony, who is a vegan lifestyle blogger, and includes the following must-haves for the ultimate summer beauty collection:
~LVX 5 Free Nail Lacquer (Lolli) ($16): Gorgeous color. I tend to do more brights in the summer, but I think that this pink paired with a glittery gold would be amazing. LVX polishes have always worked well for me and, with the right top coat, last quite a while.
~Modern Minerals Mineral Eye Shadow (Sakura) ($12.50): I have looked for this color on the Modern Minerals site and I cannot find it. And it’s driving me crazy. It’s a gorgeous shimmer – kind of tan, kind of grey and will be a great top layer on your lids.
~Pelle Beauty Face Oil (Luxe) ($12):I put this on as soon as started writing this review. I still don’t feel too hot and thought at least this would make my skin feel nice. And it did. It’s the thickest face oil I think I have ever tried. And it smells exactly like the tanning oil I used to use years ago when I liked to lay out in the sun. I’m a fan!
~Schmidt’s Natural Deodorant (Lavender + Sage) ($2.25): I am totally fascinated by this. It’s a natural deodorant that you apply with your fingers. I tried it and I am going to tell you, it felt weird to put on deodorant that way! I think if this were in a stick form I would be a much bigger fan. I can’t really tell you if it worked like it’s suppose to because I haven’t really done anything today that would make me sweat.
All totaled I came up with a value of $42.75 for the July 2014 Petit Vour box. Honestly I don’t know how they do it! Boxes are only $15/month and they constantly send out at least double the value in products. Amazing! I love seeing their picks and while I may not always love the products (like the deodorant), I love being exposed to all the different kinds of things out there!
