Of ALL the boxes that were waiting for me when I got home (and trust me, there were A LOT), I went for the July 2014 PopSugar Must Have box first. You’d think I would have gone for one I didn’t know what was in it, but nope, I went for PopSugar.
If you aren’t familiar, PopSugar Must Have Box (which is probably my favorite box ever) is an exciting monthly box full of fun, must-have picks across fashion, beauty, home decor, fitness, and more, which is delivered to your door on a monthly basis. Boxes include full-size products and premium items including tried-and-true classics, celebrity favorites, and brands consumers have yet to discover worth over $100!
The PopSugar Must Have Box ships via FedEx Smart Post and OMG, my box took forever this month. I believe it took 11 days to get to me (in MI) from where it ships in New York. I think the storms on the East Coast had something to do with it, but I thought that was wild!
There were (as there usually are) some variations to this month’s box and I was super excited to see which I received. I didn’t have any preferences – I just wanted to know!
The July 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box was inspired by Hot Summer Nights, Eating Al Fresco, Longer Days, Lemonade, Sunshine, Vacation and Outdoor Workouts and included the following items:
– Michael Stars Sea Grass Crusher Hat ($48): I am not a huge hat person (although I want to be), but when I want to wear a hat it’s going to be this one. Or the one we got from PopSugar last Spring. I think I like this one better though because it isn’t as big. And I like the little charm thing on it.
– French Bull Ziggy Salad Servers ($12): Totally love these. They will for for salads, fruit salads and tons of other side dishes. And they are really cute too, which is the best part. I mean seriously, how cold I not like these?
– Sun Bum SPF 30 Moisturizing Sunscreen Lotion ($11.99) & ‘Cool Down’ Hydrating After Sun Lotion ($7.99): I have heard nothing but good things about Sun Bum stuff. I have a friend who swears by it. It smells great too.
– ACME Party Box Company Chevron Straws ($7): I am normally not a fan of paper straws (I don’t like when they get soft), but these do seem pretty sturdy. And yeah, they are chevron and adorable, so I’d say I love them.
– TKO Jump Rope (~$10): I should use this, but I don’t know if / when I will. B actually might though. Maybe. And if nothing else I can always use it to teach L to jump rope.
– Dang Foods Toasted Coconut Chips ($3): While good I would have preferred a different snack. Something I have never tried before would have been better (for me anyway). But I know not everyone has had these (my cousin gets PopSugar and was super excited about these), so I might be alone in this.
– Revlon Bold Lacquer Length & Volume Mascara ($7.99): This mascara is everywhere! It came BoxyCharm last month and I believe it’s in Beauty Box 5 this month as well (I haven’t opened that one yet though). I will probably end up throwing my spares into a beauty boxes I make for my friends.
All totaled I came up with a value of $107.97 for the July 2014 PopSugar Must Have Box! I thought this was a great month and think that the hat was the make or break item this month. If you like the hat and if fits I am guessing you are happy with this box. If not, I am thinking it wasn’t your favorite month. I know that’s how I feel anyway!
