I’d been eyeing the Sephora Summerstash Collection for a while and finally decided to go for it! It’s not a subscription box, but it’s cute and I felt like reviewing it, so that’s why it’s here. In case you aren’t familiar, the Sephora Summerstash is $45 and is a multibranded collection of nine sample-size, warm-weather must-haves.

The Package

The Summerstash which you can purchase at Sephora.com and Sephora retail stores varies slightly from the one you can purchase at Sephora inside of JCPenney.  I believe that the big difference is that a blush is included in the Sephora retail store kit, but the JCPenney one is $3 less.  This blog does a good job of breaking down the differences between all the kits.

The back of the label on the pouch gives you a listing of items in the kit, but I forgot to take a picture of that.  Regardless, here is what was included:

~The Bag: I have gotten a few of these special Sephora kits in the past few months and they all have the same bag pattern which I like!  I am probably going to use this to hold pens and other supplies for my Erin Condren planner.

The Bag

~Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer in Venus ($3.22): Love this.  I only plan on using it on my face (it works on the face or body), so this is a great size for me.

~Deborah Lippmann Nail Lacquer in Mermaid’s Dream ($10.80): I could have sworn I had this color, but I checked and double checked and nope, I don’t have it.  I love every single one of this glitter polish line and I would love if they were sold in a set of mini bottles.

~Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee ($11.61): I didn’t even know this existed.  It is a beautiful color and goes on very nicely.  I want the full size already.

~Marc Jacobs Beauty Mini Lash Lifter in Blacquer ($9.75): I haven’t opened this one yet (I already have like a dozen open mascaras right now), but it doesn’t get the best reviews on Sephora.  I am tempted to open it just to see, but I don’t want to waste it either.   I’ll try and remember to report back when I use it.

~Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil ($11.88): Not only have I gotten so many eyeliners lately, they all seem to be blue.  This winter it was all black eyeliner, but this summer is all blue!  I’ll be trading this or passing it on to a friend.

~Nars Travel Size Laguna Bronzing Powder ($10.86): This is darker than my picture shows and it’s fabulous.  I have always loved Nars bronzer and this is a great color.  If you are looking for a bronzer, try this one!

~Obsessive Complusive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in ‘New Wave’ ($4.36): This also comes with a brush, but I forgot to put it in the picture.  It’s not sticky and the brush makes it super easy to apply.  This also comes in lots of colors which all look pretty nice.

~Stila Cosmetics Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Kitten (~$5): This seems to usually come in a set with a primer, so I had to guess at the price.  Some people on Sephora suggest using it with water instead of the primer, so I am going to give that a try!

~Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray ($7): This spray helps your makeup not melt off your face in the summer.  I like it for summer nights when you want a full face of makeup, but it’s still SO hot that you could end up sweating it off.

All totaled I came up with a value of approximately $75 for the Sephora Summerstash kit.  It says online that it has a value of $123, but it doesn’t list individual prices so I don’t know where I went wrong!  I still thought it was a good value at $45, but I think it would have been incredible if it had a price tag of, say $30!

Did you pick up the Sephora Summerstash?  What did you think of if?  If you are interested in picking one up they are still available at Sephora.com which you can check it out here.  Also, don’t forget to go through ebates to get an extra 4% cash back.  Oh, and I almost forget, I am giving away one of these in my latest giveaway, so if you haven’t already entered, get to it!
