L’s August 2014 Nerd Block Jr. arrived yesterday! It’s probably his favorite box that he gets because it’s full of “stuff” which of course he loves!
Nerd Block Jr. is a monthly surprise box for kids! It’s is specifically designed for children (you can opt for a Boys Block or a Girls Block) aged 6-11 and is filled with toys and games just for them. They also offer an adult Nerd Block for $29.49/month (that includes shipping) and a Horror Block which is filled with “gruesome horror toys”. This Block is a Boys one for L, who is 6.
Nerd Block Jr. ships from Canada and took under a week to arrive to me. Which, as always, is amazing since it takes some boxes almost two weeks to get to me and that’s just shipping from state to state.
I’ll admit that I was a tad scared by the first look! LOL! Look at that thing! I always mention it, but Nerd Block Jr. doesn’t have an information card. The contents are, however, listed on the customs sticker on the front of the box. Here is what was included in the August 2014 Nerd Block Jr. (Boy) box:
~Spiderman Project-A-Lite ($6.99): I think we have (had?) a Batman one like this, but I don’t recall where it is right now. I do know that the boys thought it was super fun to play with! I also know that if I cannot find that one, I will be buying another one so they each have one.
~Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Enemy Danglers ($3.99): These are tiny little guys! L never really cares which item he gets in a mystery pack and always seems to be excited regardless of which it is.
~Skylanders Giants Flingers ($5): I thought this was just a stuffed toy, but it turns out it’s a pencil topper, which makes it way cooler! I don’t think L knows about Skylanders, but he thinks this creepy guy is cool.
~Angry Birds Star Wars Phone Danglers ($2.99): Ahh, it took me a minute to figure out how to use a phone dangler, but I am with it now. It has a little thing that you plug into your headphone jack to connect it. I am so old that I remember when cell phones had a little loop thing right on them!
~Ben 10 Omniverse Khyber & Ben ($17.99): Ben 10 is another series that L isn’t familiar with, but he thinks these guys look cool. WB is partial to the “doggie”, but I think L thinks the other guy is cooler.
~Owl Fun Summer Fun Activity Book ($5.99): We got a similar activity book like this last month and L hasn’t even come close to finishing that one, so this one will get saved for winter when all we can do is dream about summer.
All totaled I came up with a value of $42.95 for the August 2014 Nerd Block Jr. and I think it may be one of the most valuable ones we have received to date! I am so hoping though that they start to do some Minecraft stuff in these blocks because L is so so so addicted and would go crazy to see it in a box.
