August 2014 Sudsy Box

Sudsy Box, who kindly sent me this box for review, contains 3 full sized soap bars from Heidi’s Artisan Soap and one sample of a lip balm, lotion bar, sea salt scrub or body butter. The soaps will vary and will be themed to the season of the shipment.

The Package

Sudsy Box ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just a few days to arrive.

The Box

As soon as I pulled the box out of the envelope, I could smell all the soaps!  I love when boxes smell fabulous.

First Look

As usual everything was packaged perfectly and looked great!  All the soaps come individually wrapped and labeled, but I unwrapped them all so you could see how pretty they are.

The Information Card

The August 2014 Sudsy Box theme was “Soaps from Around the World” and included the following:

~Takesumi Soap ($6): TakeSumi means “Bamboo Charcoal” in Japanese and is used to purify air, water and body.  I am a huge fan of charcoal soaps and will likely be stealing this one for my own use.  And in case you are wondering, it smells like black licorice.  At least that’s what I thought!

Takesumi Soap

~Soleseife Spa Bar ($6):  Soleseife is German for salt water. This soap is meant to leave your skin soft and clean and is scented with eucalyptus and spearmint!

~Tranquility French Soap ($6): This is certainly the prettiest of the bunch!  I love the color and the lavender scent is amazing.

Tranquility French Soap

~Hand Sanitizer ($3): We can always use a pocket sized hand sanitizer around here.  I’m not overly scared of germs and totally let my kids play in like the McDonalds play area, but sometimes it’s just needed!

Hand Sanitizer

All totaled I came up with a value of $21 for the August 2014 Sudsy Box!  The subscription is $20/month, so the value doesn’t seem amazing until you consider that you’d have to pay for shipping it you ordered everything separate!
