I was happy to get home this afternoon to a stuffed mailbox!  And even happier when I realized one of those boxes was my August 2104 Wantable Makeup Box, which was kindly provided to me to review!

In case you aren’t familiar, Wantable, offers 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates and jewelry boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. You just go into your account, go to your order history and click “Return Items” and you’ll get a prepaid label and a full refund.

The Box

Wantable now ships via UPS Mail Innovations and took a handful of days to arrive.  Not as speedy as they use to be with Priority Mail, but not super slow either.

First Look

I wasn’t 100% sure what everything in the first look was, but I knew I liked it!

Preferences

Like I mentioned before, you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you love and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing.

The Information Sheet

The August 2014 Wantable Makeup box featured the following products which will help transition you beautifully from summer to fall:

~Ofra 3-D Cream Eyeshadow (Golden Sparkle) ($20):  When I first glanced at this I wasn’t sure if it was a highlighter or coverup or what exactly it was.  It makes much more sense that it’s an eyeshadow.  I thought it went on nicely and I love the color.  I also love the tip that you can use it as a primer and add powder shadow on top.

~Mica Beauty Cosmetics Premium Pink Kabuki Brush ($35): This brush is awesome!  It’s super soft and is used to apply loose powders and “buffing in” powder foundation. I am more of a pressed powder fan, but I will give this one a try.

~Glam Natural Mineral Brow Pencil (Dark Brown) ($25): I probably should switch to “dislike” for brow products for a while because I have a ton of use up right now.  As a result I will probably end up passing this one along to a friend!  I do love the brush side a lot though and I kind of want to keep it just for that.

~Vincent Longo Lip Gloss (Bronze) ($22): So gorgeous.  I want this in more colors and I want it to last forever!  The color is so pretty and the lip gloss isn’t sticky at all.  It’s perfect!

All totaled I came up with a value of $102 for my August 2014 Wantable Makeup box and I am totally thrilled with it!  The value is incredible and I felt like my profile, Likes / Dislikes, etc. were perfectly followed!

I had a great value this month but it was totally not me so I sent it back. The first time I’ve had to use that and love that they let us. It had been a couple months since I got a makeup box so I think I need to go in and tweak my profile before I get the next one.
