Fall 2014 Yuzen
Autumn 2014 Yuzen

Oh my goodness, my Autumn 2014 Yuzen Box is here! Fall seems like it’s so far away, but I suppose it’s better to be ahead of the game than late to the party!

If you aren’t familiar, Yuzen is a quarterly subscription box that sends you a little Zen for every season.  Each box includes high-quality natural and organic personal care products, healthy snacks, and lifestyle items carefully chosen from about 6 companies.  Yuzen was previously a monthly subscription box (this was a while ago), but switched to quarterly last year, which I like even better.

Yuzen ships via USPS Priority Mail and took just a few days to arrive.

The Yuzen Box

Insider the outer Yuzen box you will find the actual Yuzen box.  Just like Birchbox, they do a box in a box type thing.  I am assuming it helps with keeping things safe during shipping?

First Look

Yuzen has some of the most beautiful packaging out there. I love seeing what papers they pick.  Everything is always just so gorgeous.

All of the products are also contained in a beautiful organza bag which can be reused.  When someone is looking for a box for their co-worker, MIL, to someone they don’t know extremely well, I tend to recommend Yuzen. It has such an impressive presentation and would make a fabulous gift.

The Information Card

The Autumn 2014 Yuzen box includes the following items to help you transition into the season:

~Annie’s Organic Berry Patch Bunny Fruit Snacks ($1): My kids love these, but they aren’t just for kids.  B and I love them too.

~Eminence Wild Plum Eye Cream ($20): This cream works to regenerate and brighten and is suppose to target dark-circles and signed of fatigue.  I have every single one of these issues and need to get into a routine to start remembering to use an eye cream.

~Dr Hauschka Moor Lavender Calming Bath Essence ($3): This smells amazing.  I may end up using the instructions on the card and putting a few drops in a bowl of water to “bring a sense of calm and peace” to a room instead of using it in the bath.  That seems more “me”.

~SpaRitual Cuti-Cocktail Pen & Pusher ($17): I realized the other day that my cuticles were looking a mess and am now doing everything I can to fix that, so this came a great time.  My advice is twist this slowly otherwise it will all come pouring out at once and you won’t be able to stop it.

~Tatcha Indigo Soothing Silk Hand Cream ($6.33): Not only is this purple which I love, it also smells amazing and works great!  I am a sucker for fancy hand creams and this for sure fits that catagory!

~Weleda Pomegranate Regenerating Body Lotion ($16.50):  Weleda is fabulous and I always appreciate getting it in a subscription box.  I don’t recall ever getting this scent in a box before, but it’s great!

~Whet Nails Nail Lacquer (Hubris) ($15): Not a color I would normally pick for myself, but it’s fun to mix it up every now and then.  With a few silver glittery nails mixed this, this will be fabulous.

All totaled I came up with a value of $78.83 for the Autumn 2014 Yuzen box.  As usual I was quite impressed with this box and certainly feel like I got my $33 worth!

My box arrived today. The packaging is beautiful. I can’t wait to try out my products and use my Annie’s coupon. Annie’s is a popular brand in our house.

Their packaging is seriously top notch.

That Wild Plum eye cream smells SO GOOD! I’m so happy I signed up for this sub box. 🙂

I got mine over the weekend. I’m not sold on the lotion scent (I’ve gotten that brand/scent before as a GWP and the odor reminds me of glue for some reason — although the lotion, itself, is good) but I always think everything is high quality.

I’m not quite sure what to do with the polish, either, although I don’t have anything else in that exact color. Maybe I can use some nail art stickers with it to add interest.

Some glitter or stickers would make it 100x better!
