GlobeIn, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers a monthly subscription box which includes up to 3 handcrafted items, created especially by an amazing artisan from a far-off land. They offer an “Awesome and Unexpected Box”, a “Statement Jewelry” box, a “Global Home” box and have just launched their new “Explore the World with Deepak Chopra” box. I received their “Global Abundance Kit” which is a one-time box for $40 and includes a sampling of handmade products sourced directly from Artisans in Mexico.
GlobeIn ships via USPS and you are able to switch up the type of box you would like every month.
Everything arrived neatly packaged and, as usual, I didn’t know what to expect. I actually wasn’t even sure which of the boxes I was going to get, so opening it was a complete surprise.
The GlobeIn Global Abundance Kit included the following items:
~Monica Robles Handmade Notebook: I use notebooks a ton to jot down subscription box stuff, school stuff, B’s schedule, etc. This one is much fancier than my normal EC ones and I feel like I need to use it for something special. Perhaps as a diary?
~Irma Gutierrez and Fernando Pichardo Leather Wallet: This wallet isn’t necessarily my style, but it is handmade and I am amazed by the craftsmanship. This couple makes these leather goods in their workshop and then travels 8 hours to and from Mexico City every week to sell them. Incredible.
~Celso Kumul Caamal Wood Keychain: This keychain was made from sustainably sourced wood and is a reminder to meditate and focus on things that matter. That is something I often need to do – slow down and remember.
~Palm Leaf Basket: This was handwoven and makes a great gift on it’s own or works as a great container to give a gift in.
~Deepak Chopra Guided Meditations 21-Day Challenge: I’ve taken yoga, but I have never actually meditated, so I may check into this. It’s an online program and and is suppose to make it easy and fun.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on the GlobeIn Global Abundance box because I couldn’t find a few of the items for sale online. I think it’d make a great and unique gift for someone who appreciates these types of handmade goods and likes reading the stories behind them.
