I was really surprised yesterday when I found out my September 2014 Socialbliss Style Box would be arriving in just a few hours! I got a tracking e-mail in the morning and when I checked it, it showed it was out for delivery!
If you aren’t familiar, the Style Box by Socialbliss, is a fashion, lifestyle and accessories box. Boxes contain items which may be featured on the Socialbliss site, along with others that are emerging hot items not yet available to the public. Boxes are $47.90 ($39.95 plus $7.95 shipping) and promise a monthly value of at least $100.
Socialbliss ships via USPS Priority Mail. I think it shipped on Friday, but I didn’t get the shipping notification until yesterday morning, which was just a few hours before the box arrived!
I couldn’t tell too much from the first look. It looked a little empty, but I wasn’t sure if there was anything hidden so I didn’t think too much of it.
The September 2014 Socialbliss Style Box theme was “Go Bold” and was inspired by Geometric Shapes, Dusky Colors and Contemporary Textures. Here is what was included:
~Two-Toned Tyra Clutch by Urban Expressions ($49): Meh. I don’t love this. I was never a big fan of color blocking and this just isn’t for me. It reminds me of something the mom from Who’s the Boss would have accessorized with. Granted, I did love that show, but I am not loving this bag right now.
~Sterling Silver Pyramid Midi Ring by Belcho USA ($30): I know midi rings are in, but I haven’t embraced that trend yet. I will gift this to a friend.
~Linked Halos Necklace by Space ($15): Now this necklace I like! It symbolizes the power of unity and I just think it’s cool.
~New Bold Lacquer Mascara by Revlon ($8): I think I have received this mascara three or four times already. Like the pur~lisse, this is everywhere this summer. It’s a good mascara (although not my favorite) and I will throw it in a care package for one of my college aged cousins.
All totaled I came up with a value of $102 (per Socialbliss prices) for the September 2014 Socialbliss Style Box. I wasn’t a huge fan of this box. The value was there, but it just wasn’t me. Had the purse been a different style it probably would have changed my views on the entire box. Hopefully next month is more my style.

So glad I cancelled this subscription. It had a lot of potential to start with – but, in my opinion, the box is going down hill fast. I couldn’t agree more that the purse is something the mom from Who’s the Boss would use – lol – that hits the nail on the head! I, also, only liked the necklace. I think this was the last box…..I hope this was my last box……
ditto!!! this was the last month of this box for me. Not worth it, not liking the drugstore mascara, I sign up for theses boxes in hopes of getting things I may not buy/know about,. not something I would find at CVS

I know everyone is sick to death of the Revlon Bold Lacquer but i used it and think its amazing. I was stuck on Kat Von D mascara for a long time, but this does similar for me and its half the price. If i see it in a current swap pile, i try to trade for it. I wonder if alot of people actually tried it, or dumped it because it was drugstore brand. Of many high end full sized and sample mascaras i have tried i really liked this better.
I got the navy/tan one and I actually really liked it more than I thought I would! but I agree I never jumped on the midi ring bandwagon but I like that it was in sterling silver and it’s also kinda growing on me
I cancelled this month to save money for wedding expenses and I am happy to see I didn’t miss anything amazing. I really like the items that have come from The Style Box thus far, but these handbags are getting a bit redundant. If they are going to keep sending handbags, they need to switch up the styles. One only needs so many clutches!
This is my last box, and I’m ecstatic! I only wish they’d canceled my account when I asked 3 months ago and didn’t automatically renew. What a mess.
The bag is okay, but the metal makes it look like something I’d get at Target. At least I got a beige/navy combo that works with my coloring. The only thing I liked was the necklace, but I do prefer more handcrafted pieces. I should count myself lucky that it’s silver rather than gold.
I want to see what that necklace looks like on someone! I just did a quick google search and came up with nothing..
they have one posted on their Instagram, its cute (although kinda hard to see with the printed top they wore)
I’m soo beyond excited that this concludes my 6 months sub that should have need 3 months ago but they wouldn’t refund me even though I canceled in time.. oh well.. horible cheep products..
i wore the purse as a joke today to drop off my son to school. Most of the moms are fancy there and always off to work even. The only complaint I had on it was a lady that could have been Angela. . Haha. Even the teacher was like wow lauren are you going for a different look. I’m like ya it’s called cheep cheesy color blocking!! 🙂
I hate the midi ring and the neck less is too big looking on me.. better luck with another box 🙂

This was my first box, so I had nothing to compare it to. I got the navy and tan bag, and I’m glad I did. I like my version so much better than the one you received. The mid ring, I gave to my 17 y/o who does own others, so she’ll wear it. The mascara…well, I don’t think they’ll ever sell any at stores because I’ve received about 4 of these in the last couple of months. Even if I love it, I won’t need to buy it for a long long time! I do like the necklace, but mine is a little different than yours as well. It’s the same style, but one chain is black, the other gold, and one of the rings/circles is black as well.
I thought the same thing about the mascara! No need to send coupons because we all already have 5 tubes of it!
Ditto on the mascara. I think I’ve received at least 5 now, ugh! The purse, to me, is hideous. The ring looks like a 25 cent machine ring but the necklace I think can be salvaged for a teen niece. I was getting iffy on this one recently and I think it is time for it to go on the cancel list. Sad because it started off promising.
I also did not care for the purse very much. If any one would like to buy it I still have mine available and do not plan on even taking it out of the dust bag.
