Candy German, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends boxes filled up with genuine German candies to subscribers around the world. Monthly boxes contain high quality, hand-picked German candies, such as chocolate, wine gums, bonbons, cookies, gingerbread, licorice, marzipan and more.
Candy German ships directly from Germany and generally takes about a week to arrive. I didn’t think that was bad at all considering the distance it has to travel.
Everything was packed very nicely and I wasn’t worried at all about anything being broken or damaged. Candy German doesn’t include an information card (I wish it did though), but it included the following items:
~Tekrum: I like the cookie part of these better than the filling. I couldn’t place it exactly, but I googled it and it turns out it’s a fruity blackcurrant. It’s not bad, just not amazing.
~Lindt Hello My Name is Strawberry Cheesecake: I *think* we have this flavor here in the US, but I have never had it. I’d certainly have them again though!
~Ritter Sport Schokowurfel: There are three different flavors of these and so far I have tried two of the three and like them both. I love that these are individually wrapped and they arrived in perfect condition – not melted at all.
~Haribo Susse Mause: You don’t need to speak German to know that these are gummy mice. L absolutely loved them and WB, well, not so much. He wanted one so badly and when he bit into it you’d think he was eating a real mouse. He spit it out so fast. Not a fan! More for L I guess!
~Hitschies Confetti Chewy Candies: Delicious! I love these. They are chewy fruity candies and are excellent!
~Merci Petits Coffee & Cream: Again, these are fabulous. They are coffee flavored and just amazing. I don’t think the States has enough in the way of coffee candies.
I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box because not everything included is easily available in the States. And without taking shipping costs into account it just wouldn’t be a fair comparison. I thought this was a very fun box and totally loved trying all these goodies!

I agree about the lack of coffee-flavored candy in the US!
We SO need more!
My Target carries the Lindt I Love XXX brand line. It’s interesting to read candy reviews.
I could never be a candy tester! I cannot pull out tastes from things at all.
my target has the lindt candy bars too! they have this carmel toffee one that’s kind of crunchy, it’s ahhh-mazing.
I need that in my life!
If you can go to the military commissary you can find all that stuff. And around the holidays they have so much more. That’s the one thing I like about shopping there.
OUrs is pretty tiny. I will check around the holidays though.
You have to go to Cost Plus World Market, they have a nice chocolate/candy section.
We have one in our Bed, Bath & Beyond now!
I was just at Vince & Joe’s and they had the different Lindt , the one on Garfield…
They have the best tuna pasta!
I have yet to see one of these international candy subscriptions seem worth it. I mean.. even factoring in shipping costs, who is willing to pay over $6.50 for each of these items? Especially when you don’t know what you’re getting and if you’ll like it. There are certain gummis from Germany I might be willing to pay a premium for, but not just a random box of unknowns, ya know?
I totally understand! There are a few $10-$15 boxes though
