September 2014 Citrus Lane

Yay! My September Citrus Lane box(es) arrived today. I am going to start with my review of WB’s box (he’s just shy of two and a half) and will do my review on the other box I get (which is for a four and a half year old box) in a day or so.

If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane  is $29/month, but they have a coupon code “NEWMOM” which lets you pick up your first box for $5! And if you order an annual subscription the price drops down to $19/month.  I always opt for the longer subscription with them because it’s a way better deal.

The Box

Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and, as usual, took a week to arrive.

First Look

WB was right around the cut-off this month so I wasn’t sure which box he’d get.  I saw boxes for 28 month-olds and boxes for 31 month-olds and they were different.  I preferred one to the other, but I would have been okay with either.  As luck would have it, we got the preferred box!

The Information Card

The September 2014 Citrus Lane box included the following CL favorites for bedtime and bath time:

~Twinkles To Go from Cloud B ($19.95): I love these night lights.  For real, I cannot say enough good things about them.  We have one from a previous Citrus Lane box (it came the October 2013 CL box for a 41-month old boy) and both of my boys love it.  I am thrilled that we now have a second one so they can each have one.  And just a heads up if you want to snag some, cloud b is on Haute Look right now and is selling them for $13.97.  Tax and shipping apply though, so unless you spend over $100 to get free shipping, it might not be the best place to order just one.

~Pieces Foam Bath Puzzle from Boon ($11.99): Boon makes the best bath stuff and we don’t have any bath puzzles like this.  Both of my boys love the water so bath time is always an anticipated event around here.

~Radish Dish Soap from Mrs. Meyers ($0.50):  One of our favorite winter activities is playing in the sink and that always means using a bunch of dish soap.  This will be perfect.

~Write on Your Own Show Label from Emily Press ($9.99): Should I admit that I need these more than the kids do?  I have put their shoes on the wrong feet more times than I would like to remember.  Hopefully these help all of us a little bit!

All totaled I came up with a value of $42.43 for the September 2014 Citrus Lane box.  The box also included a one-time use coupon code to give to a friend for a free Citrus Lane box, but I didn’t include that in the value.  This box was totally fabulous and I thought it was well worth the price!

Did you get a Citrus Lane this month?  What age did you get and what came in your box?  If you are interested in subscribing, click here and use coupon code “NEWMOM” to get your first box for only $5!  You will be enrolled in a monthly subscription (which you can always cancel if you are not happy), but it’s an amazing way to try them out!
