Hamptons Lane, who kindly sent me this box to review, curates an amazing monthly box of artisan foods, kitchen tools, and serveware for the food lover. Boxes are $47/month and are revealed at the beginning of every month. Boxes are created around a monthly theme, such as Southwestern Fiesta, Summer Cocktail, The Best of BBQ, Coastal Italy, etc. Unlike most subscription boxes, you can skip the box if it doesn’t interest you during the first five days of that month.
This month’s Hamptons Lane shipped in a large box with these two boxes inside. They always use lots of packaging materials and I am never concerned about anything breaking.
I couldn’t recall exactly what was in this box so I was anxious to unwrap everything.
The September 2014 Hamptons Lane selection was “The Tailgate Box” and featured the following items to help make your tailgate a touchdown:
~Stuff-A-Burger Press by Charcoal Companion ($7.97): We have a lot of different kitchen gadgets, but I do not believe we have a burger stuffer. Hamptons Lane suggests using it to put cheddar cheese and avocado in turkey meat for a California Burger. How amazing does that sound?
~Spicy Korean BBQ Marinade By We Rub You ($8): I probably would have preferred the non-spicy version, but B will like this. If he uses it on tacos, I might be able to handle it. Maybe. I am such a baby with spicy foods.
~Extra Large Lily Pag Lid from Charles Viancin ($13.18): This is so smart! You can use it as a lid to transport dishes (it seals on super tight) and then once you get it to your tailgate you can use it to keep food warm or to make sure the bugs stay out!
~Santa Maria Seasoning by Oakridge BBQ ($6.95): According to the information card, this has been named the best steak rub in the country for the last three years in a row. We’ll give it a try and I am sure that B will Instagram it.
~Cherry Chipotle Dipping Sauce by Not Ketchup ($9): This can be used instead of ketchup on just about anything. I was super intrigued by this so I tested it right away. And it’s really really good. I could totally see myself using this on fries and burgers.
~Fold n’ Play Speakers by Origaudio ($16): Well aren’t these cool? They are foldable speakers that hook right up to your phone. You don’t even have to go to the game. You can listen to it and never have to leave your tailgate.
All totaled I came up with a value of $61.10 for the September 2014 Hamptons Lane box! The curation of this box was spot on and I was super impressed it was filled with tailgate goodies that were new to me. I get a lot of boxes and I love when I get one that has all new (to me) stuff!
What do you think of Hamptons Lane? If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, click here. You’ll get $10 off your first box (it’ll appear as a credit in your account and will be deducted when you are billed) using my link, which would make your first box only $37. I believe there is still time to opt in for this box so you won’t even have to wait until next month for your first delivery!
I love the pictures of food that B instagrams, even though it makes me hungry and jealous haha!
He makes some great stuff!
They just HAD to name the Korean Marinade “We Rub You”? Haha. I definitely laughed out loud.
