Yay! My September 2014 Love With Food arrived yesterday! It’s a box I always look forward to getting and love seeing what they include.
If you aren’t familiar, Love With Food box members receive a curated box filled with 8+ unique gourmet food items. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months is even two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.
Love With Food ships via USPS and took six days to arrive. They say that it can take up to 10 days to arrive, but mine never takes that long.
I wasn’t at all familiar with the theme this month, so opening it was a total surprise. And it looked pretty good if you ask me.
The September 2014 Love With Food theme was “Spice Up Your Life” and included the following snacks to add a little spice to your life:
~Simply So Sweet Chili Tortilla Chips by Way Better Snacks: Way Better chips are so good. I didn’t find these to be too spicy, but they for sure weren’t plain old tortilla chips either.
~Lemon Rosemary Seasoning by Fogg City Spice Co.: This spice works on just about anything. From chicken to veggies to scrambled eggs, you name it. I don’t believe I have ever added spices to eggs, but I think it’s time to try it.
~Hemp Rules Roasted Hemp Seeds by Ziggy Marley Organics: I am not a huge fan of these. They are a great source of protein, but I didn’t find them to be too tasty.
~Green Superfood by Amazing Grass: I want to like this, I really do. But I just don’t. Perhaps it’s an acquired taste? I know it’s SO good for you, but I just can’t.
~5 Spice Caramels by Shotwell Candy Co.: Delicious. I thought a detected a bit of a coffee flavor, but that’s not anywhere in the description so who knows. I do know I thought they were amazing though.
~Maruso Ghost Soy Sauce by Maruso: I think this is going to have to be a B item. I feel like I need to take a drink of water just looking at it.
~Rich Chocolate Cookie Thins by Mandy’s: These are, hands down, my favorite item in the box this month. Chocolate cookie thins? Yes please. I already bought more!
~Churro Kettle Corn by Love With Food: Much to my surprise, I also liked this kettle corn. I am usually not a giant kettle corn fan, but the cinnamon and sugar won me over with this.
I never do a cost breakdown on Love With Food, but, as usual, I certainly think it’s worth the $12/month I pay for it! I think they do a great job with their themes and it’s such a fun way to try new snacks without spending a fortune.
