Fall 2014 FabFitFun
Fall 2014 FabFitFun

I’m back! We were away for a few days on our annual family vacation, but I am home now with lots of reviews! I decided I would start with the Fall 2014 fabfitfun, who kindly sent me this box to review (although I do have my own subscription as well), since I opened that one up first.

If you aren’t familiar, fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness from the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and beginning with their Summer box, they now ship to Canada!

The Box

fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just under a week to arrive to me. fabfitfun has had some difficulties in the past with late shipments, delayed items, but this season was smooth sailing.

First Look

In my own fabfitfun account I got an e-mail before the box shipped asking which apron pattern I would prefer. I believe that subscribers who have been with them for a few consecutive seasons were given the option to make a selection (or be surprised). I opted for the pink and gold polka dot one in my box, but I was anxious to see which I would receive in this box.  And I was thrilled when I saw which I got.

The Information Card

The Fall 2014 fabfitfun box included the following fab fall finds:

~Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Booster ($56): My skin is super dry right now (maybe because I just got off an airplane), but it felt amazing after I put this on. And with winter coming, I think it’s a great pick.

~Jessie Steele Apron ($32): I have never been one to wear an apron (or cook for that matter), but this is really cute.  I think I like it just as much as I like the pink and gold one I picked. Anyway, I do like to bake, so maybe I will use it when I bake? I also love it because we have never received in apron before in a subscription box, so not only is this adorable, it’s super unique!

~Gramr Gratitude Co. Thank You Card Set ($15): Perfect timing! I need to write out a few Thank You cards later tonight so these will be gone very quickly. I haven’t heard of this company before, but they have a ton of great options.

~Gramr Gratitude Sealing Wax ($4), & Wax Press ($25): So cool. I have always wanted a sealer like this but never actually went out and bought one. I am already thinking of all the amazing possibilities for this. I’ll likely need more wax within a week ;).

~Great Soles Pink Ribbon Ballet Barre Ped ($12): I totally love these. They are perfect and I am going to try and trade for more. If I can’t snag some in a trade, I’ll have to just buy them because I need more!

~Beauty for Real true Color Lip Cream “Always There” ($22): This color is awesome, but the packaging is what I like best.  It’s got a little mirror on the side and a built in LED light! So neat.

~CHI 44 Iron Guard ($15): This will likely end up traded or gifted. I don’t use too much heat on my hair (at least I haven’t been lately) and never use a flat iron, so I am guessing someone else would get more use out of it than I would.

~The Honest Co. Hydrating Shea Butter Cleansing Bar (Juniper Sage) ($4.95): I love Honest Co. and subscribe to their Essentials bundle each month. Believe it or not, I am becoming more and more of a bar soap fan every day. They smell good and work well. And of course, they are all natural which rocks too.

~LaNatura Travel Size Body Butter ($18): This was a bit different than I expected.  It was almost scrub like.  It’s super moisturizing, which is fabulous, but the scent wasn’t my favorite.

~FitFusion 3-Month Digital Subscription ($29.97): I should use this, but I don’t know if I will. I will check it out more over the weekend and see what I think.

~Mary’s Gone Crackers (sponsored)(~$1): Yummy! I so needed a snack when I got home today and these did the trick. I don’t mind the sponsored items in subscription boxes at all. I understand that it’s how the companies can get some of the higher valued products in the box so I more than appreciate them!

~Numi Organic Tea (sponsored) (~$2): I could do without the tea, but that’s only because I don’t like tea.  I will pass it along for someone to enjoy though.

All totaled I came up with a value of $236.92 for the Fall 2014 fabfitfun Box. I thought this was one of their best boxes and am more than happy I got not only a review box, but the box from my own subscription as well. I’l be using some of my second box as holiday gifts, trading some and keeping some (aka the socks) for me. It’s a win all around. And for the price tag, I feel like it was more than worth it!
