Oh my goodness, my October 2014 Beauty Box 5 is here! I don’t know that I have ever gotten my box this early in the month. It could be some kind of record!
Beauty Box 5 is a monthly subscription service that delivers a sample box of all things beauty. Each box contains 4 – 5 samples of a variety of makeup, skin care, fragrances and everything in between! Boxes are $12/month if you do a month-to-month subscription, however, I subscribed a while back when they had a crazy deal that brought the cost of an annual subscription down to $6.58/month.
Beauty Box 5 ships via DHL Express Mail. It starts out with DHL and then is delivered by USPS. I got the shipping notification for it yesterday and it appeared today.
I didn’t know too much about this month’s box, but the first look was awesome! I was so excited!
The October 2014 Beauty Box 5 theme was “effortless allure” and included the following items:
~Chapstick Hydration Lock ($2.99): I know some people get annoyed when they see drugstore brands like this in their subscription box, but I am like bring it on. Send me all the chapstick you want subscription box companies! I would have (eventually) ended up buying this at the store anyway so I was thrilled to see it in here.
~Bellapierre Cosmetics Cheek and Lip Stain in Pink ($19.99): I love this product, I love the color, I love it all. You can use it on your lips and / or cheeks, so it’s a great item for mornings you are running late or something to throw in your purse when you need a touch up.
~Extend Your Beauty Cosmetic Tool ($5.49): Uhh, this is genius. You can use it to scoop out the last of products in those hard to reach places. There is nothing worse than spending a fortune on a jar of face cream and not being able to use it all!
~Nanacoco Nail Polish ($3.95): If you put nail polish in a box, chances are I am going to be happy about it. While I wouldn’t describe it as “fall like” it’s very pretty and I’ll use it on my toes.
~Lashem Picture Perfect ($13.33): The information card on this must be incorrect, because it retails for $40 and not $3.95. LOL! It’s supposed to reduce fine lines and give you a gorgeous glow. I haven’t gotten a chance to test it, but hopefully it does what it says.
All totaled I came up with a value of $45.75 for the October 2014 Beauty Box 5 which is incredible since I paid less than $7 for it. I absolutely LOVED this and am beyond thrilled with this month! For the price I couldn’t have asked for more this month!
