Yay! WB’s October 2014 Citrus Lane Box arrived today! It’s one of the first boxes I ever subscribed to and it’s still one I look most forward to every month. I actually have two Citrus Lane subscriptions – one for WB who is 2.5 years old and another box which is randomly aged at 4.5 years (it’s L’s age minus two years). This review is for WB’s box.
If you aren’t familiar, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box for babies from 0 to 5 years old which contains four or more products selected especially for the age and stage of your child. Citrus Lane is $29/month, but they always have great coupon codes that let you try them out very inexpensively! And if you order an annual subscription the price drops down to $19/month (and is even less when they do a coupon code on top of that). I always opt for the longer subscription with them because it’s a way better deal.
Citrus Lane ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive. I generally expect it between the 15th and 20th of the month, so it was right in line this month.
I knew a Citrus Lane box would be arriving today, but I didn’t know for sure which age group box it was. I thought it was the subscription I have set for a 4.5 year old (that one usually arrives first), so I was surprised that it was WB’s box!
The October 2014 Citrus Lane box includes the following fun new toys to keep your little one entertained inside as the days grow colder:
~Taxi City Story Set from Janod ($6.99): I saw this set in the spoiler for this month and I was so hoping I would get it. I love wooden toys (they last forever) and WB loves all types of transportation equipment.
~Police Story City Set from Janod ($6.99): I was even more excited when I realized that WB’s age group box included TWO of these sets! I was planning on trading for more anyway, so this leaves me a little less work. I am going to try and get all of the sets (I think there is also a Firetruck set and maybe one more) and give them to WB for Christmas.
~Hohner Kids Maracitos ($9): We have a special box with just musical instruments in it and I will be adding these to it right away. It gets so loud when the kids decide to “have a parade”, but it’s also very fun!
~Shapeasaurus Board Book from Chronicle Books ($8.52): We were able to select between the Shapeasaurus and the Alphasaurus board book this month and we went for the Shape one. WB needs more work on both, but I liked the red dinosaur better ;). Both books are adorable though!
All totaled I came up with a value of $31.50 for the October 2014 Citrus Lane box for a 2.5 Year-Old Boy. I really liked this box, mainly because I LOVE the little Janod City Sets! I think a little snack would have rounded it out nicely, but I am happy with it as it is.
Did you get a Citrus Lane this month? What age did you get and what came in your box?
