I’m surprised you’re not posting a warning about this box. A lot of people look at your website to get information about subscription boxes. If I read only this, I would have no idea how difficult they make it to unsubscribe, or how low value/quality their last box was.
I agree that the last box was not a good value at all! I did a review on it and wasn’t overly impressed! I have heard a few things about canceling but I have never tried to do it myself so I am not too familiar with it. How does it compare to JustFab / FabKids / Honest Co. which I also hear are often hard to cancel?
After I emailed to cancel we went back and forth for quite awhile. They wanted me to stay, I did not. In each email I repeated the same thing, cancel, cancel, cancel… Eventually I threatened to give them a bad review on my blog and they immediately responded back that I was cancelled.
There were a lot of problems with their last box. Expired food, low value, cheap quality, poor curation.
That’s annoying!
I’ve now cancelled my Escape Monthly subscription twice and it wasn’t hard at all! I just emailed there customer service through the link on their website and then they emailed my back within a couple days saying it was cancelled. The hardest part is they change for the next month really early like the day I got my August box I was charged for September so then I had to receive that one before my cancellation went into affect. Hope that makes sense! Just my experience with them 🙂
I do wish that everyone would just allow you to cancel online!
I would be really disappointed if the lotion is only for new subscribers. It would be nice if loyal, longtime subscribers were rewarded now and then!
