Today was a great mail and one of the (many) items that arrived was my October 2014 ipsy bag!
If you aren’t familiar, ipsy is $10/month and sends its members a beautiful Glam Bag with 4-6 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. Their bags always have an incredible value (well over the $10 cost) and I am always amazed at how they do it.
ipsy ships via DHL Global Mail. Some months it takes just a handful of days and other months, like this one, it takes over a week.
The October 2014 ipsy theme was “Beauty Candy” and included the following items:
~ECRU New York Acacia Protein BB Cream Beauty Balm for Hair ($12): Awesome. BB cream is just as awesome for hair as it is for your skin. They do different things, but are equally awesome. This cream smooths and adds shine, but doesn’t weigh your hair down at all.
~Figs & Rouge Hand Cream ($6.56): I have tried this cream a few times in the past and have always loved it. It totally made the bag for me this month. Once I saw it in the spoiler I instantly knew that no matter what my bag contained, if it didn’t have this I would be disappointed. It’s totally ridiculous, but what’s what I was thinking. However, here it is! It smells great, works amazing and I am thrilled.
~noyah Lipstick (Deeply in Mauve) (~$9): Totally a SIL item. Or maybe I will save this for one of my girlfriends who comes over with her daughter to shop my makeup stash. She probably wonders why I never have any lipstick in there (it’s because I separate all that out for my SIL who loves it).
~NYC New York Color Big Bold Curl Mascara ($4.99): Meh. I am not excited or disappointed by this. I am glad it’s not eyeliner though. I’ll throw it in my purse for emergencies.
~Skyn Iceland Mini Glacial Cleansing Cloths ($5): I have been on a huge skincare kick these past few weeks and am still trying to perfect a routine to keep these breakouts at bay. These will be great for those way too late nights when I need to wash my face before bed but am too beat to do it.
~The Bag: When I first saw this bag on the site I wasn’t thrilled with it. But now that I have it in my hands it’s actually really cute. I can’t use all these little bags myself though, so I end up donating some and / or making little beauty beauty bags for people.
All totaled I came up with a value of $37.55 for the October 2014 ipsy bag! I thought I got some great variations and knew that as long as I got that hand cream I would be really happy with this bag. As always, it was well worth the $10/month cost!
