MissionCute, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of cute stuff, but with a mission. Each MissionCute box comes with at least 2 items made by small-but-mighty artisans and local businesses and each month they partner with a different nonprofit to help promote their mission. 50% of the net proceeds of each box are donated to the chosen monthly nonprofit (this month is Rahab’s Rope) and MissionCute also sponsors and works on a service project each month in their community.

MissionCute ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive to me. Boxes ship on the 15th of the month. If you subscribe before the 10th of the month you will receive that month’s box. If you subscribe after the 10th of the month, your subscription will start the following month.
I have been loving MissionCute‘s picks lately so I was excited to see what they did with this month’s box. The first look was pretty cute and I was hoping that what whatever else was included was too.
The October 2014 MissionCute partner is “Rahab’s Rope” and 50% this month’s proceeds will be donated to them. The goal of Rahab’s Rope is to give hope and opportunity to women and girls that are at risk or have been forced into the commercial sex trade of India. Here is what the box included:
~Gold Splatter & Raw Rose Quartz Chunk Earrings from Adam Rabbit ($15): Adam Rabbit pieces have appeared in a few subscription boxes and they have great stuff. These earrings are even prettier in person than in pictures. They have little splatters of gold that catch your eye every now and again.
~Lil Sunshine Shop Soothing Eye Pillow ($7): I put this on my eyes as soon as I got it. I should have heated it, but I couldn’t wait! I was pleased to find out that the scent wasn’t too strong and it’s weighted just enough so you can feel it on your eyes without it being too heavy.
~Donut Notecards from JoJoLaRue ($8): Could these be any cuter? Seriously, they are adorable. They are prints from Johanna’s (the founder of JoLaLaRue) original hand painted artwork and are all super fun!
~Mission Cute Print ($10): This is a custom print just for MissionCute subscribers. I have never read Anne of Green Gables (I know, I know, it’s a classic), but I for sure agree with this quote!
~Kitsch Hair Ties ($15): Not only are these hair ties adorable, but they are also functional. I can never have enough hair ties. Ever!
~Rock Candy: This isn’t on the information card, but my box also included a rock candy. I’ll be saving this one for myself or sneaking it to L who would love it and will appreciate the cool factor of it more than WB would.
All totaled I came up with a value of $55 for the October 2014 MissionCute box. And just like the past few months, I loved this box. They really live up to their name and certainly do provide a cute monthly box!
