Nicely Noted, who kindly sent me this to review, is a stationery subscription service that delivers a curated batch of letterpress cards and stamps to your mailbox every month.
Nicely Noted ships via USPS in a thick envelope. Subscribers receive their package during the first week in the month. If you sign up by the 15th of the month you will receive a collection that month. If you sign up on the 16th or later you will receive your first collection the following month.
Everything comes neatly packaged and includes a handwritten note from Perry, the owner of Nicely Noted.
On the back of the Nicely Noted band is a listing of all the cards included in the box, as well as, the name and location of the vendor. Here is what was included in the October 2014 Nicely Noted:
~Arrows by Noteworthy Press ($5): Such a cool card! The yellow on the arrows pops so much it almost looks like it’s a neon yellow (it’s not though). The inside is blank so it could be used for anything.
~You’re Brilliant by Bench Pressed ($4.95): This shop has some of the most creative cards that I have ever seen. Some of them may not be appropriate to send to, say, your Grandma, but I love them!
~Who’s Counting by Egg Press ($5): I love this subtle jab at aging! I’d give this to B for his birthday, but since I am older than him, it wouldn’t really work. I’ll send this to my brother for his next birthday because he actually is older than I am ;).
All totaled I came up with a value of $16.42 (that includes the value of the stamps) for the October 2014 Nicely Noted box. It’s shy of the $20/month price tag, but you need to take into account shipping to be fair since you can’t find most of these cards locally. Plus you get the stamps right along with the cards which is awesome and you don’t have to go out an pick out cards (not that you’d be able to find any of these locally anyway). I would love if they included a cool pen as well to really give you absolutely everything you need to send out the cards!
