Petit Vour, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box of cruelty-free beauty products, hand-picked from businesses that align quality with progressive standards.  Boxes are $15/month and the value of the contents always exceeds the cost.

The Box

Petit Vour ships via USPS First Class Mail.  Boxes are shipped in batches between the 15th and 20th of the month.

First Look

I hadn’t gotten tracking on this one (at least not that I know of), so not only were the contents a surprise, actually receiving the box itself was too.  It was a good surprise though, because I thought the first look was great.

The Information Card

The October 2014 Petit Vour theme was “Beauty Thrillers” and included the following wicked picks with no spooky ingredients:

~Pacifica Devocean Natural Lipstick ($14): Love this! It’s lipstick, but in balm form.  I didn’t think the color was too much, but it was certainly enough enough.  I think layered with one of their lip glosses, this would be excellent.

Pacifica Devocean Natural Lipstick

~Flo+Theo Body Butter (~$3.50): I don’t know that I love this scent (I received Wild Mint) as a body butter, but as a hand cream it works.  This is so thick (it’s almost a solid it’s that thick) and a little bit goes a long way. I hope we see more stuff from this line down the road because because they have a few more products I would love to try.

Flo+Theo Body Butter

~Forager Botanicals Natural Eau de Parfum (~$2): This is a tiny sample, but it smells amazing.  It has notes of florals, citrus and honey (no actual honey is in it though) and makes me want to keep smelling my wrists.

Forager Botanicals Natural Eau de Parfum

~S.W. Basics Makeup Remover ($10): I have liked basically everything I have tried from the S.W. Basics line, but I am not a huge fan of the bottles themselves.  Don’t get me wrong I think they are fabulous looking, but I get scared I am going to knock it over and spill it all! I need it to have a cap like salad dressing has.  Still it didn’t stop me from buying the S.W. Basics toner a few minutes ago when I was on their site pricing this out ;).

S.W. Basics Makeup Remover

All totaled I came up with an estimated value of $29.50 for the October 2014 Petit Vour Box.  It didn’t have as high of a value of some of their other boxes have had, but it did have lots of great products from brands I know (S.W. Basics and Pacifica) and introduced me to two new all-natural brands (Flo + Theo and Forager Botanicals) I haven’t heard of before.
