October 2014 Socialbliss Style Box

My October 2014 Socialbliss Box is here! It was actually one of the (many) boxes that arrived yesterday afternoon and it was a fun one to open since I didn’t know what all was in it.

If you aren’t familiar, the Style Box by Socialbliss, is a fashion, lifestyle and accessories box. Boxes contain items which may be featured on the Socialbliss site, along with others that are emerging hot items not yet available to the public. Boxes are $47.90 ($39.95 plus $7.95 shipping) and promise a monthly value of at least $100.

The Box

The Style Box ships via USPS Priority Mail which I absolutely love. It takes two days to arrive once it ships so you don’t have to constantly check that tracking.

First Look

Everything was wrapped in bubble wrap and, like I said, I was excited to see what it all was. I had seen a few of the spoilers so I knew about half of the items, but I didn’t know which variations I received.

I didn’t get an information card in my box (Socialbliss said they didn’t have the cards set from the printer when they packed my box), but the October theme was “Follow Your Bliss”.  Here is what was included:

~Wrist Bliss Watch by Varsales ($22.99): I don’t ever wear a watch, but I think this one is cute.  I believe subscribers either received white or black.  The white was cute, but if I were going to wear a watch, I would pick the black.

~traveling Scarf by Papillon ($22): I can’t find this anywhere online, so I went with the Socialbliss price. It seems fair though.  This either came in a coral / grey print or a black / white print.  I love the black and white that I received.  It’s a cool pattern and will work nicely this winter.

~“Grab-n-Go Bliss Book” by Denik ($12): This notebook was designed just for Socialbliss.  It’s purse sized (well everything is really since my purse is giant, but this is probably 3’x5′) and is blank inside.  I use little notebooks like this all the time and always like to have one with me.  It doubles as something for the kids to write in if they get bored at a restaurant too. Crayons and a placemat are okay, but an ink pen and Mom’s notebook?  WAY COOL.

~Convertible Clutch by Silverake ($35): With all the purses we have been getting from Socialbliss, it’s fabulous to see a wallet!  Of course, this can also be used as a clutch or bag (it comes with a chain so you can wear it on your shoulder), but this is going to be used as a wallet by me.

~“Matte-Hatter” Matte Polish By Nabi ($3.50): I love matte nail polish! You can use it to turn shiny polishes matte or you can use it as a base coat under lighter polish colors so you don’t need twelve coats of polish.

All totaled I came up with a value of $95.49 for the October 2014 Socialbliss box.  I thought the variety in this box was great and I really liked that it didn’t contain just one large item.  It was a nice mixture of items so even if you didn’t love one thing, there was still a bunch of other stuff in there to enjoy.
