The Sassy Box, who kindly sent me this complimentary box to review, is a monthly subscription box service that is full of surprises – 4-6 fun and unique gifts and paper products – personalized and themed to the current trends and season.
The Sassy Box ships via USPS First Class Mail. Boxes ship between the 20th and the last day of the month. Orders received by the 15th of the month will receive the box scheduled to go out that month with the following month’s themed items.
I have never received a Sassy Box before (this is actually their first ever box) and I couldn’t recall exactly what type of box it was. When I opened it up I had sort of an idea, but I still wasn’t exactly sure.
The October 2014 The Sassy Box theme is “Bloom where you are planted” and included the following items and ways to help you (and others) bloom:
~Burst of Blooms Wildflower Seed Mix: It’s or sure not like wildflower planting season here, but I will save these for next year. We had great luck with growing wildflowers this year and these will be perfect for next year.
~Bloom Initial Thank You Notes: I am always impressed with any box that attempts a personalized item (or items). They look great and these cards will brighten anyone’s day.
~Bloom 5×7 Print: I have a magnetic board where I hang prints like this that I receive in subscription boxes. I already have this one hung up.
~Personalized Handy Notepad: This is my favorite item in the entire box. I am always jotting down notes, leaving notes for B or sending notes to school with L. You can never have enough.
~Set of 15 Lunch Box Notes: When I said the last item was my favorite I kind of forgot about these. They are little lunch box notes. You can send them in a backpack or a lunchbox or use them as a gift tag. I sent one with L today!
~Be YOU tiful Car Charm: I thought his was a keychain, but it turns out it’s a car charm which I am assuming means you are supposed to hang it from your rear view mirror? I may end up using it as a gift tag which is another expected use.
~Halloween Treat: I like candy corn, but not enough to buy a full bag of it, so these are a perfect sized treat!
Since these are custom items just for The Sassy Box subscribers I couldn’t do a cost breakdown. There were 6 items in this box (plus the candy) which breaks down to just over $6 per item. I thought then price point was a little high, but I liked the theme and the items.
