You are able to select between a monthly book delivery service (from $9.99/month) that gives you one hardcover or paperback book each month, along with an app recommendation + literacy guides or a digital service option (from $2.99/month) and receive weekly personalized app + book recommendations that come with literacy guides.
This selection is for L who is 6 years old. I also received a book for WB (he’s 2) and that review should be coming in a few days.
Zoobean ships via USPS Media Mail. Sometimes Media Mail takes over a week to arrive, but this appeared in just a few days.
The Book
L’s book selection this month was The Wreck of the Zephyr by Chris Van Allsburg (which is selling for $14.32 on Amazon right now). I actually cannot believe we don’t already have this book. It’s a fantastic story and the illustrations are incredible. A total win!
The App
L’s app selection this month (well one of his two App selections anyway) was Pete’s Robot. It’s $0.99 on iTunes, but I am still on the fence about it. It’s an interactive story which L would like, but I don’t know how often he’ll use it. I think WB would actually end up using it more.
The Zoobean plan I received is $16.95, which includes the monthly hardcover book + the digital reading guide + the app selection and app companion. If you are interested in just the Digital Service, it’s $2.99/month and you will receive a weekly email that includes an expert created Reading Guide or App Companion along with a book or app recommendation.
