Birchbox Home Sweet Homespun Limited Edition Box

Yay!  My Birchbox Home Sweet Homespun Box arrived today! I have been anxiously awaiting this box and was super pumped to see it.

Just in case you missed my nine million other posts about it, the Home Sweet Homespun Box is a Limited Edition box from Birchbox and is $40.  It’s a $96 value and is dedicated to the handwritten, the homemade, and the personal. The box is described as taking “cozy at home” to the next level and is perfect for gifting – or keeping for yourself ;).

The Box

Birchbox ships shop purchases via USPS Priority Mail and they are fast!  Why can’t everyone use Priority Mail?

Isn’t this box so pretty? With all the upcoming holiday parties this would make such a fantastic hostess gift.  Or the perfect teacher gift, boss / secretary / co-worker gift!

The Information Card

Birchbox always releases all the contents of their Limited Edition boxes online, but that doesn’t make them any less exciting to open up.  They do such a great job with the presentation of their boxes too.  I always feel bad tearing into it.

The Birchbox Home Sweet Homespun Box included the following items:

~Milk Bar Cornflake-Chocolate Chip-Marshmallow Cookie Mix ($16): Milk Bar is totally on my NYC “To Visit” list (along with about a zillion other places) so seeing this mix in here was awesome.  I doubt I would ever buy a $16 cookie mix on my own, but that’s what subscription boxes are for.

~Soak Handmaid Luxury Hand Cream in Fig ($10): My obsession with hand cream is no joke and this awesome.  The smell is very unique and I thought it was really moisturizing too.

~Makerskit Hanging Photo Clips Complete Project Kit ($24): Instead of using this to hang pictures, I am thinking of using it to hang Christmas cards!  I am always in search of a way to hang them and this looks perfect. And then, after the holidays, I will use it for pictures.

~Meri Meri The Little Garden Treat Kit ($12.95): Between these and the little cards I received from this month’s Pennie Post, I have to make some homemade cookies and other treats for the neighbors and B’s co-workers!

~Askinosie Chocolate Single Origin Sipping Chocolate ($4.50): I received this in a Mantry (?) a year or two ago and it’s awesome.  SO fancy and it feels like such a treat to sit by the fire and sip on it.

~Cowshed Lippy Cow Natural Lip Balm ($3.51): This is a totally new brand to me and I opened it up right away to try it out.  It kind of reminds me of my beloved Kiehl’s Lip Balm #1, which is a very good thing.

~Richer Poorer Socks ($12): If I recall correctly we got a fun pair of socks in last year’s Limited Edition Birchbox as well.  I actually think I like these better though.  Way cute!

~Illume Mini Tin Soy Candle in Noble Currant ($9): My candle addiction ranks right up there with my lip balm / nail polish / hand cream addiction, so I will never be sad to see a candle in a box.  Ever.  This smells great and is very holiday like.

All totaled I came up with a value of $91.96 (My calculation was slightly different than Birchbox’s) for the Birchbox Home Sweet Homespun Box. I thought this box was very well curated and was just an all around great holiday box.  What’d you think?  Did you order it? It’s $40, but with one of the following coupon codes, you can make the deal even sweeter:

~”AMIKACLIPLESS” to get a free amika (Mod)ern Curler + Clutch on any order of $150+.
~”COMEBACK20“, “TAKE20OFF” or “MOBILE20”, “WELCOMEOFFER20″ to save 20% off your order.  These may or may not work depending on if you have used them in the past, but they are worth a try!

And don’t forget that you can add a Mystery Sample Pack to your cart on ALL orders of $35+ as well!  Oh and what the heck, since I am in such a good mood today (must be all that boring water I am drinking), I am going to giveaway one of these boxes!  You know the drill.  Just enter in the Rafflecopter widget below and them cross your fingers.  Oh, and don’t forget to read the Rules.  Good luck!
