My Birchbox Vanity Affair Box arrived today and I was so pumped to see it! It looked so fancy and gorgeous online that I just couldn’t wait to dig into it.
Just in case you missed my nine million other posts about it, the Birchbox Vanity Affair Box is a Limited Edition box from Birchbox and is $98. It is described as a collection to bring a little extra luxury in to the vanity area in your life.
Birchbox ships via USPS Priority Mail. I ordered this late on Sunday night when it launched and it arrived today.
Eeek! This box is gorgeous. If you purchased this to give as a gift I probably wouldn’t even wrap it. It’s totally ready to go as is.
I opened my box upside-down first (I couldn’t get it out of the outer box) and then flipped it back over and took a picture, so my first look is a bit of a mess. But as you can see, it is packed FULL. I knew what was in it, but I was still surprised to pull SO many things out of that box.
The Birchbox Vanity Affair Box included the following items:
~BY TERRY Baume de Rose ($18): This can be used as either a cuticle salve or a lip balm. I plan on keeping mine on my nigh stand and using it as both.
~Chantecaille Luminous Lip Gloss (Lychee) ($34): This is one fancy lip gloss! The information card says that it stays on for 6 hours. Now I don’t know if I will ever know if that is true (I reapply gloss and balm constantly), but it has a fantastic shine and wasn’t sticky at all.
~Jinsoon Nail Polish in Nostalgia and Coquette ($18/each): I LOVE the red (Coquette) and it will be gorgeous for the holidays. The Nostalgia, while pretty, isn’t really “me”, but I think with a coat of glitter it will be great too.
~Maison Caulieres Perfumed Bath Oil ($16.50): How pretty is this bath oil? It has real rose petals inside to give you a luxurious soak. I love the smell of it and all these amazing bath products we’ve been getting lately do have me inspired to take more baths.
~MAKE Calypso Eyeshadow Palette ($40): This eye shadow palette is exclusive to Birchbox and I really think there is something in it for everyone. I like the browns and greys, but for a night out that deep blue is really really nice.
~Rosanna Alhambra Medium Vessel ($22): This is my most favorite item in the box. It is adorned with real 24-karat gold and I am debating if I want to use this on my desk or on my vanity.
~Serge Normant Dream Big Instant Volumizing Spray ($10): Serge Normant is line I discovered thanks to subscription boxes. This hair spray is brand new to the line and doesn’t leave your hair all crunchy like some others do.
~SHU UEMURA Art of Hair Essence Absolue Oil-in-Cream ($13.60): I love a good hair oil. Unless I use something I have a huge flyaway problem. This tames them and leaves your hair smooth and shiny, but not greasy. A little bit of this goes a long way!
~Stephanie Johnson Tinseltown Jewelry Tray ($30): I swear I almost bought this before. The corners snap so you can use it for traveling and pack it flat or use it at home on your vanity. Again this one may end up in my office. I am not sure yet!
~Sunday Riley Good Genes Treatment ($35): I would have never bought this one on my own (it’s $105 for a full-sized bottle) without first being able to try it, so I am thrilled it came in a subscription box. It is both a mask and a serum and ultimately makes your skin look younger. I have only used it once so far, but I may just end up saving up my Birchbox points for a full-sized one!
~Tata Harper Volumizing Lip and Cheek Tint ($35): I don’t even know what else to say about this other than gorgeous. It’s a lip and cheek tint and is very very pretty color. And the packaging is insanely gorgeous too.
~TOCCA EAU de Parfum, Margaux ($20.40): The longer I have this one on, the more I like it. I have discovered lately that my initial opinion on 90% of scents is wrong. I need to wear them for at least an hour or two to really decide what I think.
All totaled I came up with a value of $310.45 for the Birchbox Vanity Affair Box, which is over three times the $98 cost of the box! Everything in this box just felt very fancy and luxurious. I absolutely loved it!
If you are interested in ordering, it’s $98 and is TOTALLY worth it, but with one of the following coupon codes, you can make the deal even sweeter:
