WB’s November 2014 Austin Lloyd box arrived a few days ago and I was planning to save a lot of the items for holiday gifts, but WB had other ideas about that ;).
In case you aren’t familiar, Austin Lloyd, is a subscription box of educational toys for children aged 3 and under. They aim to take the guess work out of choosing toys that your child will enjoy, while also gaining skills that aide in their overall development. Each box contains 4-5 educational toys and typically at least one book.
Austin Lloyd ships via USPS and took only a few days to arrive this month once it shipped. The box was actually a delayed for a few days as they were waiting on an item to arrive, however, they sent an e-mail notifying subscribers of the delay and explaining the reason so it wasn’t a big deal at all.
The packaging on Austin Lloyd is seriously the best. Everything comes neatly wrapped and includes a sticker with your little one’s name on it.
The box included a general information card about the Play Level (we selected 2-3 years of age for WB – you can read more about them here) of the box which gives some general information on how your child is playing at this age, as well as, individual information cards. The November 2014 Austin Lloyd box theme was “Fairy Tales and Make Believe” and included the following items:
~Goldilocks and the Three Bears Book ($5.99): This is a classic of course, but we actually don’t own it! I love the illustrations and it’s such a fun read.
~Janod Knight Arthur Battle Puzzle ($12.34): WB could not bust into this puzzle fast enough. I swear, he was standing over me when I was taking the picture yelling “OPEN”. He loves it and I think we’ve already worked on it a dozen times.
~Trudi Owl Wizard Puppet ($30): I love that, instead of sending a stuffed animal, they sent a puppet. It’s gorgeous and very well made and something that both of my boys will use and enjoy.
~edushape Rolling Story ($9.95): I don’t think I have ever had story cubes before! You roll one and then start off a story based on that theme. And then roll another and another and continue on with the story! The possibilities are endless. These are a really cute idea for a preschool classroom!
All totaled I came up with a value of $58.28 for the November 2014 Austin Lloyd box. I thought they did a fantastic job with the theme (they always do) and I love the unique items they select. They just announced the December theme which is “Austin Lloyd Favorites” and will include an assortment of toys from some of our favorite brands. They noted that none of the items will be repeats from previous months and they may even include some brands which are new to subscribers. I am very excited for this and will be getting it and saving it (for real this time) for holiday gifts!

LOVE. cancelling Bluum and starting this for my 2.5 year old.
I wish this one went a little older. I think C would love it but he’s aged out. Does WB watch Mike the Knight? That is what the puzzle reminds me of.
Not a ton, but he has seen it. It’s hard to pry him away from PAW PATROL!
