November 2014 FAIR Treasure Review

Fair Treasure, who kindly sent me this box to review, sends fair trade items such as jewelry, glass wear, pottery and paper goods, to your door each month. Their goal is to make it easier for everyone to explore the very best that Fair Trade products have to offer… and in turn, providing exposure and supporting the communities of people making these treasures.

The Box

FAIR Treasure ships via USPS and always arrives at the beginning of the month, without a problem.

First Look

The first look revealed a coupon for the Fair Treasure shop! Now through 11/22/14, you can use the coupon code “THANKFUL5” to save $5 off any purchase.

The Information Card

The November 2014 FAIR Treasure theme is “Hostess with the Mostess” and included the following items:

~Swinging Tassel Earrings ($19): These earrings are handmade in India and use upcycled saris and other recycled material to create jewelry and home decor.  How cool is that?

~Nora Cotton Print Apron ($24): This apron was handmade in Bali by Zen Zen’s Fair Trade Federation artisan cooperatives. I like the print on it, but I will probably end up gifting it.  I already have an apron that I really don’t wear so it’s probably a good idea to give it to someone will will get a ton of use from it!

All totaled I came up with a value of $43 for the November 2014 FAIR Treasure box!  I love that they have been doing themed boxes lately and look forward to seeing what they do in December!  I am kind of hoping for a handcrafted ornament of some sort!
