Hamptons Lane, who kindly sent me this box to review, curates an amazing monthly box of artisan foods, kitchen tools, and serveware for the food lover. Boxes are $47/month and are revealed at the beginning of every month. Boxes are created around a monthly theme, such as Southwestern Fiesta, Summer Cocktail, The Best of BBQ, Coastal Italy, etc.  Unlike most subscription boxes, you can skip the box if it doesn’t interest you during the first five days of that month.

The Box

Like last month, the November Hamptons Lane was too large to ship in its normal blue box.  This month’s box was also quite heavy.

Inside the larger box was the Hamptons Lane box, as well as, the item that would not fit in the box this month.

B was around when I opened this box up (he made me open it actually so he could check it out) and was super excited to see what the theme was!  Everything looked great and arrived in good condition.

The Information Booklet

The November 2014 Hamptons Lane theme was “American Breakfast” and included the following items make a heart America Holiday Breakfast that the whole family will love:

~6.5″ Cast Iron Skillet by Lodge ($12): This is like the perfect sized little skillet!  It’s super heavy (which is expected) and the quality is awesome.  We will use this a ton!

~Perfect Poach! Egg Poaching Papers by Tovola ($5): I have never cooked eggs in a pouch before or even heard that this was possible, but I think these are so cool.  I LOVE Eggs Benedict and this really does seem like it will make poached eggs a more realistic breakfast.

~Pumpkin Peanut Butter by Muirhead ($9.56): So good!  I tried it alone and enjoyed it, but also plan to check out some of the recipes that use this.

~Custom Maple Syrup Trio by Crown Maple Syrup ($15.95):  What breakfast is complete without maple syrup?  Not one I want to be part of that’s for sure. I suspect we will go through one of these little bottles this weekend.

~Bourbon Salted Pecan Pancake & Waffle Mix by Southern Culture Artisan Foods ($7.99): We have tried this mix before (never in this flavor though) and it’s great.  We don’t have any real plans for the weekend, so I am thinking we will do a big breakfast on Saturday morning with all of these items.

~Mistobox Coupon Code: The box also includes a coupon code to Mistobox, which is a monthly coffee subscription box.  I have never tried them, but maybe this is a sign that it’s time.

All totaled I came up with a value of $50.50 for the November 2014 Hamptons Lane box.  Not a huge value in comparison to the price, but that’s never really a surprise since they show you the contents of the box before it ships and you can do a breakdown of the cost before you are billed.  I liked the curation of this one and am pretty excited about this weekend’s breakfast!

Every single thing in that box is something my husband and I would enjoy! We make pancakes every weekend morning and I have a new found love for eggs benedict! Cast iron cooking is also so good! What a fun box! 🙂

P.S. Try the pumpkin butter on your pancakes/waffles! I put a little pumpkin pie spice in my pancake batter and then top them with a little pumpkin butter from Trader Joe’s – so so good!

Good call! That will be amazing!

This looks like such a great box! I just received some red velvet pancake mix, they have a recipe for maple butter I believe. I don’t like red velvet cake, but I’m hoping these aren’t as sweet. I seriously need to consider subscribing to Hamptons Lane
