Okie Goodies, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box filled with goodies made in Oklahoma. Boxes include 5-7 ready-to-eat treats, mixes, sauces, spices, and lots more, all hand-picked by the Okie Goodies team.

The Box

Okie Goodies around the 15th of the month via USPS. They tend to ship on Mondays and Tuesday to ensure you get the freshest snacks possible. If you sign up before the box ships, you will receive that month’s box, otherwise, your box will ship the following month.

This box actually came packaged within a larger box and had lots of packing materials to protect the goodies inside.

The Information Card

The November 2014 Okie Goodies box contained the following “Sweet & Spicy Snackables”:

~Red Dirt Pretzel Company S’mores Pretzels ($2.97): These have a different flavor for sure, but they are good!  And good in the fact that you don’t need a ton of feel satisfied about them.

~Maria Rae’s Gourmet Foods Level 1 Mild Salsa ($4): I love that they sent out mild salsa!  We get a lot of spicy things, so this is a great change of pace.  I am very pleased and can’t wait to snack on this.

~Bedre Fine Chocolates Hot Fudge & Caramel Meltaways ($1.80): These are absolutely delicious.  I couldn’t even tell you which I preferred – hot fudge or caramel.  Both are fabulous!

~Valley View Pecan Company Butter Toffee Pecans ($3.75): These are going to end up being a B item.  Just not my thing and I wouldn’t be a good judge of them.  B will take them to work and they will be eaten up in a minutes.

~Pepper Creek Farms Tortilla Chips (~$6): Despite their best efforts with packaging materials, my chips still got a little smooshed.  No big deal though because WB and I enjoyed them just fine.  And we both liked them!

~Cane’s Meat Company Spicy Jerky ($8): I can’t find these online anywhere so I went with the price on the information card.  I generally try to find online prices first and will use those prices if I can locate them, but in some cases I just can’t find them! B is all over all kinds of beef jerky we get in subscription boxes and will have this gone in no time!

All totaled I came up with a value of $26.52 for the November 2014 Okie Goodies box.  A little short of the cost of the box (assuming you get a month-to-month subscription), but this contains items that you won’t be able to find locally (unless you are in OK) so the price would likely be much higher had I included shipping in!

What do you think of Okie Goodies?  If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, you can head on over to their site and check them out!

Hmmm…..I live in Eastern Oklahoma and have never heard of any of these products. They must be Western Oklahoma products.
