Pennie Post, who kindly sent me this package to review, is a monthly stationary subscription service. Each month you will receive at least 3 stationary items. More commonly used greeting cards such as thank you notes and birthday cards will be included more often than other greetings. Seasonal cards such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and holiday may also be included during appropriate months.
Pennie Post ships via USPS and usually arrives the first week of the month.
Everything from Pennie Post arrives in a sealed plastic pouch with all the contents safely inside.
The November 2014 Pennie Post was inspired by time in the kitchen prepping for family meals and baking yummy cookies. Here is what was included:
~Apple Cranberry Crisp Recipe Card: This card is so cute! And it’s not just a cute card to send someone in the mail, it has an actual recipe on it! Seriously how perfect would this be to send to a friend who loves to bake? Love it!
~Holiday Treat Gift Tags: When I saw these my first thought was that they would be awesome for when I bake cookies and give them to the neighbors during the holidays. And then I realized that I have never actually done that. Perhaps this will be the year?
~Thankful Card: This card serves as both a reminder to take time and give thanks this month and as a contest entry to win 12-months of Pennie Post. You just fill it out, snap a picture and post it to their Facebook page or on Instagram with @Penniepost and #penniepost. If you aren’t a subscriber you can download the printable file from their blog and participate in the contest as well!
~Letterpress Utensils Card by Studio SloMo: For the first time ever Pennie Post teamed up for a collaboration / letterpress card! I think this would make either a great card to include with a gift or just a great card to drop a friend a note with.
As usual, I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this month’s Pennie Post. The cards are specific to Pennie Post and you can’t get them anywhere else so there is no way to calculate the cost. The subscription itself is $11/month though, which works out to about $3.67/item. For cards of this quality I don’t think that is unreasonable by any means.
