Peekapak, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers a creativity-focused activity pack for children ages 3 – 7 which emphasizes active, collaborative play and learning while providing busy parents with a convenient way to connect with their child. Boxes are delivered to a family’s home each month and each activity pack covers a new topic within an engaging storybook and two to three educator-designed activities.

The Box

Peekapak ships via USPS and took under a week to arrive to me. Boxes are shipped mid-month, so you can expect to receive them a week or so after that.

First Look

I wasn’t quite sure what the theme of the box I got to review would be, but when I opened it up and saw the dinosaurs, I knew that the boys would be happy!

The Card

The September 2014 Peekapak was all about dinosaurs and took the Peekapak Pals on a walk to Paleo Park to find them.

The Activity Book

Each Peekapak includes a storybook where the adventure takes place.  Also includes in the storybook are the activities for the month.  Here are the projects for September:

Dino Hat

Project #1 – The Instructions
Project #1 – The Supplies

The first project included was “Dino Hat”.  It includes everything you need to make a dino hat for creative play.  We haven’t had a chance to make ours yet, but I think this is something L could handle totally on his own.  He’s 6 and the instructions look very clear and I don’t think he’s have any issue at all following them.

Dino World

Project #2 – The Instructions
Project #2 – The Materials

The second product in the was “Dino World” and included all the items you need to make your own dinosaur scene.  I have to tell you, I am a huge fan of these types of projects.  I actually wanted to start this one on my own when I saw it, but I resisted ;).
