Am I getting fuzzy headed, or is Birchbox’s point and bargain system the most complicated since the use of the abacus? They deluge us with special offers, but you can only use one per purchase, and have to enter a promo code. So for example, you could use BOTH deals above, but would have to enter 2 separate orders. Surely people do that, so why do they make it so difficult? Then there is the Mystery Pack of Samples, which I never get because I can never find the place on the order form to check for it. Shouldn’t it have a page of it’s own with sub-link to the “shop”? And what about these constant “likes” we have to rush to click on FB, Twitter, etc, it’s ridiculous after a while. Then there are these perqs like a magazine subscription I would not allow in my home, or a coupon for the Gap, which is 200 miles away from where I live and it can’t redeem online. Why not let us choose the Gap coupon or 10 points to compensate the surely hundreds of Birchboxers who don’t like the Gap or are not located near one. People seem to think the point system is “great” but I have spent quite a bit on there, and haven’t saved a big bundle. Would rather have a straightforward system, but it seems they want to keep us on edge for points like dogs for bones. I feel like it’s yanking a chain a bit to send non-stop deals and everyone goes into a frenzy of calculating how many points they need or can get.
