WB’s December 2014 bluum box is here! He gets just as excited as I do when packages arrive and yells “BOXES” when he sees them on the porch. And he also carries them in too which is very helpful.

If you aren’t familiar, bluum (who acquired Stork Stack earlier this year), is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.

The Box

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and took under a week to arrive to me.

I was super happy to open up the box and see that it was free of packing materials!  They usually use so much stuff that not seeing any was great!

The Information Card

The card included in the bluum box doesn’t include product information. Rather, that information is sent to you in a e-mail on the day that you receive your box.  WB’s November bluum box was for a 36 month-old (*) and included the following items:

~Wear A Pear Shoe Snaps ($7): What a great idea!  You hook these on a pair of shoes so that they always stay together.  I have a closet full of L’s old shoes that are waiting for WB to grow into and they seem to always to mixed together.  Not anymore!

~Spurtle Turtle ($8.53): This is a cute little matching game!  I actually think that L will like it more than WB.  WB doesn’t really have the attention span for games like this yet.  It won’t be long before he does though.

~Sock Monkey Night Light ($8.77): I have seen this in other people’s bluum boxes and I had been hoping we’d get one too!  I love it and it’s going to be in WB’s stocking this tear!

~I am 3! Board Book ($7.99): I have WB aged up, so he isn’t quite 3 yet, but this will be perfect for when he turns 3!

~Crepe Rubber Puzzle ($9.99):We love puzzles and truck ones are perfect for WB.  He doesn’t have any rubber puzzles like this yet either!

~Boing Energy by bioterra Herbs ($4.99): I may end up passing this along to B to try!  Although I really could use an energy boost, so maybe I do need to keep this for myself.

All totaled I came up with a value of $47.27 for the December 2014 bluum box. This box didn’t have a huge wow factor, but it was a good box and well over the $29/month cost of the box!

(*) It’s a long story, but we used to get bluum ages ago when they just did those smaller sample sized boxes for 0-12 month olds. When WB was about 9 months, bluum launched their current box for ages 1+ and was still doing the sample boxes for babies 0-12 months old. I wanted to check out the new, bigger boxes for WB, so I aged him up a few months so he was 1. And he’s still aged up!

I got my first Bluum today. I used the Rue La La deal and glad I did.

For my 19 month old I got a squeeze pouch, some makeup remover wipes for me, one small car, a snack storage cup, and a divided plate with sections for fruit, veggies, etc.

I was hoping for some stocking stuffers. All of these items (except for the car) are more for the mom than the kid. The divided plate reminds of a diet plate where I am only supposed to have a small amount of carbs, etc. The snack cup is nice, but I can’t really see my 19 month old getting excited over it. The squeeze pouch was just a fill in. I will use the makeup wipes, but those are not the type of thing I was hoping for.

    I have already cancelled. Bummer.

I have gotten boxes with them with mainly snacks and then other boxes will mainly mom stuff. You just never know! I think that CL is more consistent in the variety of items they send!
