December Love With Food is here! This is another one of the boxes I have subscribed to since I discovered subscription boxes and I am always happy to see it.
If you aren’t familiar, Love With Food box members receive a curated box filled with 8+ unique gourmet food items. Each box brings new delights, with bites that vary based on seasonal themes. In addition, Love With Food donates a meal (some months is even two meals) to a child in need with each box purchased, which you can read more about here.
Love With Food ships via USPS and took over a week to arrive this month. Some months it arrives quickly and others, not so quickly. If you order by the 1st of the month your box will arrive that month. If you order after the 1st, it will arrive the following month. Orders placed today will begin with the January box which ships around the 10th of January.
As usual, this box was jam packed with goodies! I am alwats surprised at how much they could pack into their little red boxes and have tried to repack them back in the boxes several times and can never make it work. It’s like magic how they get it all in there!
The December 2014 Love With Food theme was “Taste the Season” and included the following delicious treats:
~Kettle Corn by Oogiex: I think subscription boxes have helped me realize that I actually love popcorn and kettle corn. This made a great snack the other night watching a holiday special on tv!
~Pitted Green Olives by Olympos: Totally a B snack. Olives aren’t my thing and olives in a bag are probably even less of my thing. But B has already requested more of these so they must be good.
~Hazelnut Spread by Nocciolata: WB samples this one on a bagel and seemed to quite like it. I don’t really see how you could go wrong with a chocolate hazelnut spread though.
~Cookie Chips by Hannah Max: I love these. I have had them in pretty much all the flavors they offer and haven’t found one I didn’t like. They are crunchy like chips but give you the cookie taste you want. Delicious.
~Dark Chocolate Sea Salt Caramels by Liddabit Sweets: Liddabit caramels have popped up in a few subscriptions and I am never sad to see them. They are totally delicious!
~Chocolate Honey Mints by Honey Acres: I wasn’t too sure about these, but they turned out to be really tasty. They only have three ingredients (raw honey, dark unsweetened chocolate and natural peppermint oil).
~Espresso Candies by Bali’s Best: I tried one of these right after I opened the box and I really did think it gave me a nice little boost of energy. And it tasted great as well.
~Dark Chocolate Coconut by Next by Nature: I am going to pass these along to B as well. Because while I do love the smell of coconut, I don’t like the taste.
I was very pleased with the selections in the December Love With Food box! I never do a cost breakdown on it, but I always feel like I get my money’s worth! They introduce me to new fun snacks and also send favorites I know and love. And the box typically has something in it for everyone in the house which is fun too.
Did you get Love With Food this month? What’d you think? If you are interested in signing up click here. Subscriptions (for a regular box) are $12/month, but if you are a new customer you can try your first box free (you pay shipping of $2) using my link (no code needed)! And if you subscribe and received the Deluxe box this month (which is $19.95/month), did you get any different goodies in it?
LWF sends a lot of kettle corn and caramels.
I would agree with that! They really do.
I get the Deluxe Box and it was great!! They had a lot of Gluten Free snacks in it this time and I was glad. I have two granddaughters that are gluten free and I like to save the snacks for them when they visit or I visit them!! Love it!!
I received the deluxe box, and it also included a GF Almond Cranberry Dark Chocolate granola bar by Pistol Whipped Bakery, and 2 Lindt Excellence 70% Cocoa squares.
My favorite of the box were the Hannah Mac cookie chips though. Does anyone know where I can buy these?
I think they sell them at Walmart??
Ok, I’ll check there. Thanks!
They also sell them at http://www.eatcampsnax.com where you could build your own healthy snack boxes.
I got this box and it was good, but I decided to cancel all food subs. It was not good for me to eat all the chocolate on day 1 and all the savory snacks on day 2. I was doing that over and over again. With multiple food subs. I haven’t stepped on the scale lately because I’m afraid to.
I just have to say that I love your name! Lol.
I think that every time I see it!!!
I really liked the popcorn! And I am glad it was actually snack sized – I don’t like when every thing is small and has like 12 calories because then it is just like a pre-snack and I end up having to pack 4 work snacks to make a full one.
BAHAHA! This is so true!
You finally convinced me. I’m signing up for the box.
LOL! How could you not try it for only $2!!
I got the deluxe box and I have to say, I liked the olives and and the cookies were good. I have to check the calories. I wasn’t wowed by the mints, but they hit the spot, and with them only having three ingredients, they are a win for me.
