Wantable, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers three different types of subscription boxes. This box is their makeup box, which includes 4 to 5 full-sized premium makeup products, hand-picked to perfectly match your preferences. They also offer intimates, fitness and accessories boxes, again customized to your preferences.  And unlike the majority of other subscription boxes, Wantable allows you to return the box if you aren’t totally 100% happy. You just go into your account, go to your order history and click “Return Items” and you’ll get a prepaid label and a full refund.

The Box

Wantable ships via USPS and took about a week to arrive this month.  Wantable ships based on your original order date, so if you first purchased your Wantable subscription on the 10th, your boxes will always ship around that date.

Preferences

Like I mentioned before, you can totally customize your Wantable box.  You fill out a questionnaire telling them what you Love, Like and Dislike.  You’ll get more of the things you Love, some of the things you Like and none of the things you Dislike.  It also asks about color preferences and that sort of thing.  The only Dislike I have is eyeliner and it’s been working out well for me.

First Look

To be honest I thought my box looked a little empty. I think it was just because there wasn’t a BIG item in there to take up more space.

The Information Sheet

The information “card” was a little different than normal this month.  Instead of it all being on one page in super small font, the paper was folded like a little book and the information was separated into 4 separate sections.  Much easier to read!  Here is what was included:

~OFRA Absolute Cover Face Primer ($35): I have been tuned in to the magic that is primer and I am not going back!  This under foundation (or BB cream) is awesome and really does help it “stay” longer and look even more fabulous.

~Surratt Beauty Lip Lustre (Teinte) ($32): Okay, so I had to do a little googling about this one.  It turns out this is meant to be worn under other lip gloss colors to make them lighter.  That makes much more sense than white lip gloss!

~Tarina Tarantino Sparklicity Pure Bronze ($17): Love this!  It can be used on the eyes, cheeks, lips and face.  The color is incredible and I love this brand.  I will probably mainly use it on my eyes, but I like the option of being able to use it elsewhere too.

~(PLA) Beauty Cheeky Blush Matte Bright ($22): This is probably the only item I am not overly excited about.  Don’t get my wrong, the color is gorgeous, but I am on blush overload so I will pass this one on to a friend to enjoy.

All totaled I came up with a value of $106 for the December 2014 Wantable box.  I will tell you what, I never would have guessed that it was a $100+ box when I opened it up! I ended up liking this box much better than I thought I would and I am very pleased with it!

Do you subscribe to Wantable?  If so, what’d you get in your box (makeup or accessories or intimates) this month? And if you don’t subscribe, what are you waiting for? There is no risk involved so why not?

Nice box. I agree on blush. I was wanting some and then all of a sudden it was coming everywhere even in the few boxes I get and it takes forever to use. LOL I do use it everyday so I’m working through them.

I so want this box, it’s awesome! If you wanna sell the blush let me know- I need a new one!

I love the Tarina Tarantino brand too! I am always happy to receive that brand in any box. 🙂

Sounds like it is time to move the blush to the dislike category. It looks like a great box with useful items.

Wantable is one of my favorites subs! Always really pretty, high end stuff! 🙂

I noticed that the Ofra primer gives my skin a white cast, which makes me look a little like death. I have combination, light-colored skin that is mostly neutral but leans a little yellow. Have you experienced this too? Am I doing something wrong?

I’ve always been interested in trying out a primer and that looks like a good one

I just got my first box after signing up with the Black Friday special and I LOVED my first box, I got a Tarina Tarantino blush palette, the colors are gorgeous, the same Ofra primer as you, Surratt Beauty lipslique they call it red, it looks orange-y red to me, so I’m not sure about it. And an eyebrow pencil, my box had a value of $137, which is highly impressive since I paid $18. I agree with Cory, I tried a little bit on my hand it was white coming out till you really blended it in.

I’ve been a subscriber of the intimates collection for a few months now. So far I’m happy with the products. Their customer service is awful and if it weren’t for me liking the pieces they send me I’d have stopped when I had the problem with their customer service. They forgot a piece and blamed me and told me I’d never receive another credit. I only knew I was missing something when they asked me to review the item. Anyhow. I tried the makeup kit and like the suburban mom I was completely underwhelmed. For 40$ I was highly let down and after dealing with customer service I considered it a loss, for them. I’ll not subscribe to any other collections. The loss of my service is better than talking to customers service and being insulted again. I don’t care about name brands if they are cheap looking and trial size at best. Maybe a full size of the items cost the 30-40 they say but the sample sizes they send don’t impress me much. I thought higher end would blow my 10$ ipsy out of the box but I’ll take ipsy at least they a ditto sending samples.
