Zoobean
Cost: $2.99 – $16.95/month (depending on package selected)
Ships To: United States.

Zoobean, who kindly sent me this package to review, is a monthly subscription service which helps you build your individual child’s literacy with remarkable children’s books and apps selected just for him or her. You are able to select between a monthly book delivery service (from $9.99/month) that gives you one hardcover or paperback book each month, along with an app recommendation + literacy guides or a digital service option (from $2.99/month) and receive weekly personalized app + book recommendations that come with literacy guides.
This selection is for WB who is 2 years old. I also received a book for L (he’s 6), but that one hasn’t arrived yet.
Zoobean ships via USPS Media Mail and took under a week to arrive. L’s package and WB’s package actually ship at the same time, but L’s isn’t here yet. I think they come on the same day half the time and the other half they arrive a few days apart.
The Book
WB’s book selection this month was Chugga-Chugga Choo-Choo (which is selling for $12.31 on Amazon right now). This is the most perfect book over for WB right now. CHOO-CHOO book! If I can get him in bed tonight without this book (and I mean without him want to sleep with the book in his bed), I will be amazed.
The App
WB’s App selection this month was “Piccadilly’s Circus” and is selling for $2.99 on the App store right now. I really think they should let you “sample” apps. Maybe give you a 24 test period? It’s a storybook app and while i think it’s cute, I am guessing that WB won’t be overly into it.
The Zoobean plan I received is $16.95, which includes the monthly hardcover book + the digital reading guide + the app selection and app companion. If you are interested in just the Digital Service, it’s $2.99/month and you will receive a weekly email that includes an expert created Reading Guide or App Companion along with a book or app recommendation. And then you can pick up the book at the bookstore or borrow it from your local library!

We have the Choo Choo book – one of our top 3 favorites ever! “Sun’s up, morning’s here, up and at em engineer” I could recite the entire book for you! Great pick
HA!!! I suspect in a few days I will be in your shoes!!
Oh this book brings back the memories! My now 17 year old loved that book – probably his favorite Children’s book of all time – I can still recite most of the book and still wake him up with the “Sun’s up, morning’s here” line! Enjoy! the time just flies by!
