November 2014 Motorhead Coffee

Motorhead Coffee, who kindly sent me this box to review, delivers artisan roasted coffee right to your door. Their sample subscription box is $29.99/month and includes 4, 4oz bags of their current offerings. Boxes are available in 1,3 and 6-month plans and do not auto-renew.

The Box

Motorhead Coffee ships via USPS (out of Louisville, KY) and took just a few days to arrive.

First Look

Everything arrived neatly packaged in slick resealable black bags.  B is always all over coffee subscription boxes we received in the mail and takes them to work to share with everyone.

The Information Card

Motorhead Coffee includes an information card in each of their boxes with details on the roasts.  This card was printed prior to a few changes Motorhead Coffee made, so now instead of three 4oz bags and a bonus 3oz bag, you will receive 4, 4oz bags.  Here is what was included:

~10W-30 Light Roast: 10W-30 is a light roast african coffee. It has a hint of blueberry to it that intensifies as it cools. Like with most everything B takes to work I didn’t get much detail from him about them. He declared they were “really good” and that was about it. Had they not been good though, I certainly would have heard about it.

10W-30 Light Roast

~10W-50 Medium Roast:10W-50 is a medium roast Indonesian coffee. This one is described as “heavy” and a little bit goes a long way!  You could even use it as a shot of espresso!

10W-50 Medium Roast

~Synthetic – Light Roast: Synthetic is a light roast and is described as a cranberry muffin in a cup.  The more I read about it, the more I realize I should have kept this one for myself  at home.  It sounds amazing.

Synthetic – Light Roast

~Diesel – Dark Roast: Diesel is a dark roast latin blend.  It’s described as the cup of coffee that is going to drag you out of bed at 4am to start your day!

Disel – Dark Roast

Since Motorhead Coffee doesn’t offer 4oz bags in their shop I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box.  The only place you can get this size bag is in this box!

What do you think of coffee subscription boxes?  Have you tried one?  If you want to give Motorhead Coffee a go you can head over to their site and check out their offerings!

Disclosure: This complimentary box was received for review purposes. All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.
